Another example of the lies and half-truths spread by those pushing the "War on Christmas" agenda. Xmas was NOT coined in the US around 1910, and was NOT used in order to minimize either Christ or Christianity.

For a historically-supported explanation of how the abbreviation Xmas came about (hint: it was used by Christians for hundreds of years) start at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xmas and you'll see how ridiculous the "War on Christmas" claims are.

I remember one specal Christmas where about Midnight us kids peeked down the stairs and saw Santa with a red nose,and moma's eyes were runny,and the only thing we understood was God and the word damm and Cristmas.
