I just finished reading Ciccone's book about his sister. She used and took great advantage of him, but he allowed it, because he was using her as well. Take out the massive professional success of one, and they are practically twins. They deserve each other.

I read like three pages of it online and I thought it was really interesting, even though critics hated it. He'll make his money, like he wants. It is AMAZING that it took this long for one of her siblings to come out of the woodwork. She must not be that bad if it took, what, 25 years for a family member to step forward? She's obviously no mommy dearest.

HAHA! People actually bought this 'book'?! I guess the general public really is that eager to burn their hard earned dollars on hard cover national enquirer 'books'. Obvious cash grab here. I ain't buying into it. Sounds lame anyways.

He isn't the best writer but if you read an excerpt, you'd be surprised. He spent mega time with her ... I remember him in the Truth of Dare movie ... he even dances in the background of Lucky Star and one other video ... I like her, she's interesting but I don't follow other stars

I've read some, not all yet, and it actually is very interesting. As he admits, he's no writer, but the first-hand anecdotal insight make up for it. Before I started reading, I thought he was a horrible person to sell his sister out like that and the excerpted passages online made her seem like nothing but a beotch. But the book isn't like that at all. It is quite sad and pretty moving. I've always liked Madonna, but her brother isn't trying to hurt her. If anyone has had sibling issues (I've had and have many) the book is very relatable. I'm coming away feeling sympathy for both of Christopher and Madonna, and hoping they will one day be able to build a new relationship.

I purchased this book at Costco and read it in several days.
I was impressed by this introspective book and recommend it.

Well, darling, there is another way to look at it? From what I have read - and observed over 25 years being a fan of Madonna's (oh yes)- she is unlikely mother dearest. Her family members have stayed silent because they want nothing to do with her or because they simply fear the bitch. If making 11 babies, monumental ego and selfishness along with endless money hunger does not send one to hell, what does??!!!
The writer of this article obviously wasn't even reading the same book I did - the review was set up before page one was finished - and the reviewer did not understand nothing of it.

i'm not a fan of hers (so i've never read the actual book i'm referring to), but i do recall a biography that came out some years ago, where the writer claimed she'd had something like 11 abortions... her fave method of birth control, apparently/allegedly.

...ever the rebellious Christian...

Madonna led her brother on for years, on the basis she understood the secret he kept from the rest of the religious family - that he was gay. She was not the autonomous adventuress she would have us to believe. Her brother went with her everywhere, for years - sharing his ideas, concepts, "inspirations", research and work.

Then she outed him 10 years to the entire world, in her documentary "Truth or Dare".

Finally, she realized his presence was inconvenient competition for her homophobic husband, so she began slowly easing him out of her life by refusing to PAY HIM.

The thing is, if you didn't know he was gay, well . . . only HE thought people didn't know unless he told them.

I don't think you can concieve after that many abortions. I seriously doubt it. A person would be in "not to good of condition" DOWN THERE, know what I mean. I attend a major university so I'll ask one of the nursing professors.
