Vincent D'Onofrio on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" Demotion

I am just so happy that Vincent D'onofrio is still going to be on Law & Order Criminal Intent, He is the best actor ever! My God, How many times have I said that, more than a thousand times I bet, but it's still true, and this weekend is a marathon of Criminal Intent, I will be glued to the tube!

I too was happy to see him back. I like Logan, but on thr original Law and Order. Does any one know why he has so many partners?

could be wrong but I think a few things have contributed to his weight gain. For one thing, medication. That alone will do it. Then there's
A-G-E desease. As we get older our metabolism changes. Keep in mind he is no longer a man in his thirties. He's now 48. Also, being Italian ,as I am too, I'm pretty sure he likes his Pasta,Pasteries and Italian cheeses. Believe me I speek from experience. It's EASY TO GAIN,but HARD TO LOSE. Let me know if you agree or not.

I sounded judgemental but I meant to make more of an aesthetic comment. He just looks so odd to me.
but I love the show, and I love best the original duo, not so much the new ones.
Also I like the original L & O, that's probably my very favorite, esp the first years.
But SUV - even tho I watch it, cuz the acting is great, and the 2 stars are great, it really gets grimy sometimes, like incest, and torture and child abuse and sister raping sister and the like.
I could do without all that.
I like the original L & O cuz you never saw violence, the body was already dead.

The one I can't stand on one of the Law and Orders is Ice-T. He is a piss poor actor, if I ever saw one.

I don't know what meds he may be on but everything
I've read implies he is on meds. If he is not I apologize to him. But if he is that would add to it. Without getting too personal,I take meds (nothing serious) but I have a hard time losing
weight. I'm not over weight,just wish I could lose a few. Also, as I mentioned, metabolism changes with age.Some people are affected more than others.
I love the show too! It's my favorite. I'll be watching it tonight.Also, the original L&O follows,so I'll have 2 hours of drama tonight.
I agree with you about SVU. I have a hard time watching episodes with those storylines too.
They are too true to life!!! But I love the characters too. CAROLYN---I agree. He is not Oscar material.But oddly enough,I think he suits the part well. Hope to hear from both of you again soon.

I don't always watch Law and Order and, anymore, I can't keep up with the new characters. But, when I do watch, I do enjoy it.
Different show, but what happened to Cane with Jimmy Smit? I was really into that. Is it because of the writers' strike? Hope it wasn't canceled.

I don't know what happened to "Cane". I never really got into that show, but my sister did. I'll

well I disagree with both of you - I like Ice-T. And Munch is my favorite, but he doesn't get much time.

I didn't like Cane, but I did get to like Smits in NYPD. At first I thot he was a "pretty boy" but then I decided he could act too.

Then when he went onto West Wing, I thought I would have a hard time not thinking of him in his NYPD role, but I found very quickly, I was seeing him in the new role. That's a good actor.

I saw the new L&O with McCoy as Head DA. I did not like it at all!!! Nothing did I like.

What about you all - what do you think?

Sorry Carolyn,my Sister's not sure either. But I'm willing to guess it is the strike. Just be patient and I'm pretty sure it will come back. It has an incredible all star cast and a good storyline so I doubt it will be cancelled.

Hi Ellen, I Didn't mean to imply that I don't like Ice-T. I just don't think he's a top-notch actor.That is my opinion. But I do think he is perfectly suited for his role. He is definately a cool guy and his character calls for a "cool guy".

I agree with you about McCoy. I liked him much better as the ADA. The new ADA hasn't got the fire and passion that McCoy had. I saw Sam Waterston on th View last week. He is happy about the change because it gives him more "freedom". Like VDO and Katheryn Erbe after awhile the constant,long hours,everyday take a toll on you. You get burned out. Rather than leave the show,they need some kind of a break,before "they" break. Stress can,as we all know, kill you. Don't want that to happen to any of them!!!

How'bout that newest partner on L&O the original?

I don't know the name of the actor, he's a skinny white guy, partners with Greene.

Hi Ellen, His name is Linus Roache. He's an English actor. I've never seen him. I agree. I'm not saying that he is not a good actor, I just don't care for him as the ADA. I still like the "REAL McCOY". There's a Q&A featuring him in next weeks TV Guide. I just got it in the mail today. I've noticed that all the L&O/CI's that are being shown on TV are ALL Chris Noth. I Haven't seen one with DVO in quite a few days. I wonder what's going on?

Hi everyone here I see we are casting thr roles huh? hehehe I just like the show but do not get into the actors as much as I see others have I just learned a bunch of stuff about VDO over the last few weeks. I have watched CI since it inception and have just enjoyed the plots and storylines. I guess I see the roles as folks I would not choose as friends and leave alone. But I see fans have lots to say Let see what else I cna learn haha till

Oh-- all I know is his name is Jeramy (spelling?) Sisto. He was on one of the Popular shows (didn't watch it). I'd like to see him with either a Cagney/Lacy type or a Jimmy Smits type.
I have to give this one some more thought.

HI fellow fans . NBC has lots of problems right and they are ebing brought to court by L&O 's Dick Wolf. This does seem to be raidiating to the other shows like CI . I am wondering what they want to do wiht their long running shows? It seems there3 is a big problem with what direction thatr NBC wants to go in now ? so the actors they are piocking might be to makethe shows not be the hits they are so they cna get rtid of them?? Just a thoiiught abouit this I may be wrong .but where is the popular VDO? I have seen many of his reruns on reruns here in NY How about you Lynn? I've been watching re-runs upon re-runs too. Sunday, USA is running another CI/SVU marathon.
I also know that their showing "Unthiered" again.
I'm just not sure if it's tonight. I didn't know about the "Court" thing. I wonder what that's about? If they cancel the shows (God forbid)
