Oh My God! They Killed ECW

Yeah, they did kill ECW it used to be so exciting, you were always at the edge of your seat!
Now the only place you can see that is WSX witch in my opinion is crap or TNA
but TNA is not so extreme (for all of you who like complete car wrecks) but it's better and in my opinion it's the best brand ever

it was only a matter of time for ECW to be killed by WWE. If ECW was like it was in the old days it would be number one. But Paul Heymen is the whole reason ECW is the way it is now. ECW needs more titles more superstars and more EXTREME MATCHES!! it ECW come everything should be extreme in one way or another. Anyway WWE rules over all and thats the bottom line.

I don't think heyman is envolved in it anymore, i think he quit a while ago.

I think so. I heard he fire Kurt Angle from ECW and got fired for it. Either that or he quit.

WWE & ECW Are both entertaining but realistic (give me a break).I saw the Undertaker wrestle Kennedy, in real life Kennedy would have lasted 10 sesconds and needed an undertaker after thar. People need to take this stuff much more kightly than they do. Its fun. Thats it.

Kurt Angle was given his release, but Heyman is still contracted to the company.

guys come on give it a chance. WWE killed ecw? did u not see the ECW after WM23? if thats not an extreme match then ur just being hypocrites, just because its part of the wwe brand you guys totally disregard the fact that WWECW does show its extreme side. TNA does the same thing. They choose when to show more violence not on a daily basis, the only reason TNA is more extreme is because of its PPVs. Now i agree, when i first watched the ECW i was also dissapointed, but some ECW matches brought back alot of memories from the old ecw. SABU/RVD xtreme tagmatch, again the 4way xtreme tag match was incedible, rvd vs sabu, all of these matches are worthy of the ECW name. But again, Wwe chooses when to show extreme matches so does TNA, its not up to the OLD ECW standerds but neither is TNA.

They need new talent in the show. Plain and simple. Besides the OGs vs NB and BL fighting with VKM, what's the point of watching. Hopefully, WWE gets moving and puts Davey Richards, Colt Cobana, and Ace Steel, three guys they have contracts with, on the show. No one wants Extreme Expose except teenage losers and no wants to see Snitsky unless they are Snitsky. Inject new blood and a new TV title and ECW could become something good. Continue to dump sh!t where it doesn't belong doesn't help anyone. They have a PPV in a few months. I'm 99% there will be more RAW/Smackdown wrestlers on it than actual ECW wrestlers because the show has very little in terms of talent left.

exactly the only way that could save the ppv is to have crowning of all the new champions (tag team, belt for light weights and a lesser belt)

they should have put ECW on mtv rather than sci fi. MTV is used to showing xtreme stuff on so ECW will fit right in w/ reruns of jackass and SCCARED(which is an awesome show) they need ti ditch sci fi and head on to mtv it will bring success for both shows.

I agree,i hate extreme expose,whenever it comes on i get so angry i stop watching the show all together.

MTV works with Viacom which works with Spike which works with TNA. WWE left Viacom for the USA network. A timeslot on MTV wouldn't have helped them anyway. It's the writing staff, not the networks, that choose who is in matches and what will happen.

heyman really wasn't really fired we had a decision on how we can improve the show i admit it's slow we still working on it to built it soon you viewers will have a chance to pick what you want to see we been asking about wcw yes we have plans to bring it back this ssummer or early next year

its all on sting where he putting it at and when bujt yes wcw is coming back and tna is like old wcw same company

ECW is not being killed by WWE, ECW is being changed by the WWE. ECW used to be a hardcore wrestling show for the loyal die-hard fans. That was one of the reasons it went under in the first place; Not enough mass-market appeal.

WWE is a smooth money making business. It is not about making the most techinical or hardcore show. It is about making a family friendly show that parents will be ok with, that will make little kids go out and spend money on it, and basically bring in the dough.

ECW is changing. It is now a profitable mass-market industry, not a specialized niche-reliant spectacle. It is a change that has pitfalls and benefits.
