'10,000 b.c.'

DONT GO SEE THIS-- I hated it and so did my son. Im 42 and he is 17. Enough said.
The movie is like a B movie.
Not wotrth the money!!

It's a great entertainment if you're into fantasy movies and historical revisionist films. Not much truth to it. I would have liked to see more of a documentary feel showing how people truly lived 10,000 years ago.

It's not "silly" and I don't think the director's intent was anything close to it. It's simply a bad story directed badly. Do not spend your money on this.

Victor Mature in 10,000 BC was the first movie I ever saw once getting out of Native Indian Children Concentration Camp in the mid- 50's. I was going into 5th grade.
I will never forget this movie. I could not believe this is what white people thought their ancestors were! The elder, woman and children bashing, raggedy furs and somehow roasting a dinosaur whole......otherwise the lava flows and the gentle cave people from the north lent contrast. It was exciting for sure .The prehistoric effect was better than the succeeding ones. The 10,000BC by Ringo Starr was a comedic spoof and fun and the recent 10,000BC that just came out is interesting from a whole other angle but bares no resemblace to the 1940's version. The first one remains my facvorite.
