The article said she called him on the phone, she wasn't "with him". I'm sure the years and years they were together that he constantly kept falling off the wagon made him "better" too by your accounts. He never tried to clean up until after she finally decided to get a divorce after years of separation and they each found someone else.

Why can't Eddie just stop the drinking, come on! He needs to really get help....He's one of the greatest guitar players in this century...and has a great career history and could continue with it if he just stops the alcohol already... He has a great 17 year old son who is totally solid in his ways....and what kind of example is he to him....Eddie is 53 years old....shouldn't he just get with the program and just start being strong in his approaches to life and clean himself up already.....

Being an alcoholic is hard Maria. Just stopping drinking is not enough for him to stay sober. There is alot more going on here than alot of us realize/ or are admitting. Doing ANY touring requires you to be in good physical shape. Years of drinking has destroyed his body. This is going to be one of the hardest things Eddie has ever done in his life. We should be supportive as true fans. We should all realize that Eddie is facing what alot of us have faced or need to face, all folks without drinking problems excluded. Eddie if you read this stuff, Let go of the bottle bro and embrace the millions of people who look up to you and see you as such an inspiration. Help them see the error of alcohol in your life. Help others to grow by growing yourself. Drinking or not we all still love you, but you can touch so many more folks by recovering. Play on Ed-Sober and True-Suzanne
