(IMO)

Brad, ever the gentleman, will surely speak to Tom first (after going over it with Angelina and his own advisors) before taking the leap.

Brad is so brilliant.

I just love him.

But if Paramount is smart, they will beg Tom to come back. Tom IS Mission Impossible.

tom cruise is a great actor but so is brad pitt..the role tom played in mission impossible will always be associated with him, however what a better actor can replace him than brad..i think brad will do the next film justice with a different twist..

As crazy has Cruise is, out of respect for him I think Brad should turn the offer down. I think they have been friends since their vampire movie and sometimes that is more important..

ohhh no, i think as friends, brad would call tom about it. but no way do i think brad will just walk away from a $39 million dollar upfront pay day. not to mention i think he'd like to be called the highest paid actor in town. also i may add, tom will still be getting paid as a producer or co-producer whether he is involved in the film or not. so tom STILL does not lose out.

i think tom would be man enough to congratulate brad and clear the way for him to shine.

and brad WILL shine...

See..deep down inside. Tom would feel sore regardless of who is replacing him, and the fact is he would be replaced. $39mil is not easy to walk out on

I agree with you Rebecca.

And in my opinion, Angelina will turn to Brad, and tell him to make it clear to Paramount, that they will stay out of his personal life, and that they can sign something saying that they can not fire him on a mere whim....or because he is too expensive to keep on board....or because their profits weren't as large as expected.

Would you deal with Paramount?

It makes you pause. Tom is a hard act to follow.

I wonder if the people at Paramount have good judgement. What will they pull next?

I think that was a shady deal Paramount played on Tom Cruise. So, he acted a little excentric, made a couple of bad choices. Giving his role to Brad Pitt was an extra slap in the face. I never heard that Tom Cruise was difficult to work with, and he certainly brought in the bucks.

Put yourself in Tom's place:(Just my opinion)

Your first wife did not produce a child for you.(Why can't I think of her name? She have beautiful bow legs....Mimmi Rogers)

Your second wife....oh, so beautiful, and oh so talented. Hot as a firecracker. Excellant mother to their wonderful adopted kids, but did not bear Tom's biological child.

Pennelope Cruz. Heavens above. Three years of bliss. A sky rocket to the moon romance. But no child.

Finally, comes Queen Katie, and perhaps she says: "oh, Tom lets have lots and lots of children, and quickly!!!"

I don't know about you, but I would jump on a few couches. We just aren't use to HIM doing it. He is always Mr. Cool.

And so we waited to see their beautiful baby.

Oh, it was so worth the wait. She is perfect.

I don't see the big deal with jumping on a couch. Oprah can buy a million couches and Tom can pay for them too. Geez, the man is a human being...we all get really happy and excited [sometimes] about certain events in our life...especially when we fall in love. I WANT to see people [stars, etc.] show emotion. It really gets on my nerves when they act so reserved all of the damn time.[Janet Jackson] is a prime example...it's hard to look at her interviews...never has anything to say, mumbles, coyly smiles, shy-acting, she is sooo booooring...and we know she's not shy.[yawn]
However, I think the Scientology and comments about Brooke Shields really got to the Paramount people. Brooke [was] "Miss America" for years.

I'm not a Mission Impossible fan, but, I think Tom should be the one, however, since nobody can fill his shoes [and theaters] in the franchise,[Brad] is the best one to step in at this moment. Nevertheless, someone else could emerge as a top-runner for this role. Ummm, wonder who? What about Vince Vaughn?[ Riiiiiight.]

Hi You Know Who.

Oh, please don't get me started on Mother's Little Angel Brook Shields....with those bushy eyebrows for years, and that in control forever mother of hers...and all of the time that Brook waisted chasing Michael Jackson all over town...and that hot tennis player ex-husband of hers that kicked her to the curb...and those Calvin Klein Jeans (porno) comercials...(phew!)...she just makes me barf because of what she said about running head first into an oak tree, with her baby as a buffer! I could just scratch her like a bear.

Tom Cruise should have tied her to a missle rocket and launched her to the moon.

(I'm only kidding around of course.)

We love ya Brook.

You were good in the movie called "Freeway."

Speaking of Mission Impossible and Tom Cruise, I had a chance to look through the "Vanity Fair" magazine today, and let me tell you that if you do not grab hold of a copy, you just may not get a chance. People are grabbing copies up like it was money! The photography in this publication is just so fabulous that you will not believe your eyes.

It looks like everybody tried to be in it.

I was shocked by a story about Katherine Hepburn. Although, the photoes were great, the excerps by William J. "what's his name?" just made me sick.

It just goes to show you, that unless you die and leave behind a bunch of faitful "pitbull-like" kids behind to guard your reputation....ones like Nancy and Tina Sinatra...(IMO)...you have people saying things about you, freely, and with no one to take their snotty behinds to court for what they say. Yoko Ono stands up for John Lennon's honor. I admire that.

Vanity Fair is just so cool.

But not as cool as Brad.

Tmj3:

Hello tmj3, your mission if you decide to take it,
is to find and watch the movie called "Washington Square", starring Albert Finnet and Janet Jason-Leigh.

You are to watch the entire movie.
Once you have seen the movie, you must rewind the movie to the song sang at the piano, the song which is also sang at the end of the movie.

Your mission is to translate this song into English, so that I can understand why the song is put into the movie in the beginning so happily, and at the ending, so very sadly.

Good luck to you TMJ3.

This mystery has plagued my life for years and years.

I am begging you TMJ. Please do this one thing for me.

Only Brad Pitt could have acted this part of Morris Towsen better.
