Saw Charlie Robison twice while living in San Antonio the last 5 years. Never heard of him before that. First saw him in '06 at the Riverside Roadhouse in New Braunfels and was totally knocked out! Went out and bought everything I could find of his. Saw him again last summer at the legendery Gruene Hall in Gruene, Texas. Gotta say "Beautiful Day" is his best work yet. But you gotta see him live! Very Springsteen like in his approach to his live shows, great story teller, mixes covers with his own material. And of course, gives a shout out to El Paso on "Loving County" Don't know if he's played El Paso, but if he does, do yourself a favor and go see this man. You won't regret it! I believe he'll be in Big Spring, Tx. later this month. Worth the trip.
