Can people just get a life...all the chicks did was telling it like it is..."I'm ashamed that Bush is from Texas". Why complicate things and turn this into a matter of national pride, etc... Bush is just an idiot, the president does not equal to America. If somebody threw a shoe at Bush doesn't mean he is throwing a shoe at every American. The Chicks disagree with his policies, period. So please stop this nonsense and stop making the Chicks a diversion from all that went wrong in your own life because obviously hating someone so much as to frequent this board and bitching about it without end shows you have issues to deal with.

Natalie is just an outspoken young woman who made a comment that some Americans don't agree with.
It's pretty sad that there are people who are so angry that when someone made ONE comment that you BELIEVE to be unpatriotic means they should be ostracized by so many Americans everyday for the rest of their lives.
It just goes to show how frighteningly angry and brutally unforgiving these country hicks are. Anyone who rubs them the wrong way will be relentlessly attacked for years and years. These people are just so twisted.

I don't think Natalie has anything to apologize about seeing how the chicks were treated. I'd say these angry country hicks should get a life.

Chick's protestors filled a large cross-section of the US, and were NOT just so-called "hicks".

And throwing a shoe at a US President, is absolutely symbolic of throwing it at ALL US citizens, regardless of political party or disagreement with Bush policy.

Old timers used to be older and wiser. The world is changing too fast and now they are just angry and lagging behind. That's why these days the young ones don't listen to them anymore....and your way of thinking pretty screams "angry old timer".

Well, that cross-section of Americana just happens to be mainly country hicks who listens to country radio. The rest of America don't give a damn about the DCs to begin with. Country hicks is just nickname for the likes of you.

Whatever symbolism applying to ALL US CITIZENS is pretty much your own interpretation. There are plenty of Americans who got a laugh out of the shoe throwing....and you can come over here and throw a shoe at our prime minister. People here in Toronto don't care for him. He's just a public servant working for a paycheck from Canadian taxpayers and anything that happens to him does not necessarily apply to the entire Canadian population. As for the Chicks, there was no intention to root for the enemies or try to be anti-American. They pretty much explained that it's due to the fact that they disagree with Bush's policies and I don't see how the rest of the world would interpret what the chicks says as "I hate America, power to the enemies of America". The only people who are interpreting it that way and embarrasing Americans are you country hicks who blows everything out of proportion and apply your own crazy interpretation of the events.
