I triple check my everyday email grammar/spelling to make sure it's correct, pretty sad when a paid newspaper editor doesn't even do that. Proves my point that 75% of the world is ret@rded.

As opposed to the pervious three English Majors who haven't seemed to find their niche at McDonalds yet, I can see past the compunction of a type-O. That said, I didn't see Lillith Fair as something women could look to as a "see. we can market ourselve too," but rather a group with politics I reject. I liked Dixie Chicks until Natalie Manes acted like a fool in England and then, along with many many other people (men) I decided they (she) wasn't worth the time. How are the Dixie Chicks doing these days?

Since when did this event become Lilith Far? Was that a secret wish of the writer or just the usual misprint?

I would have loved to have gone, but the ticket prices are too steep, especially in this economy.

... it's too bad there wasn't a larger crowd. I think the ticket prices was the reason. Female musicians could certainly use a boost.

If you're a guy, you're not going to go because of the hatred directed at you for possessing testicles. If you're a straight woman, you're not going to go because you don't want to be hit on by hairy overweight nut jobs. That leaves a pretty small market.

Why do men like you always have to be so degrading to women? What a creep you are.

I love how they are canceling show because of sluggish ticket sales, but they say that the Arizona show was canceled because of SB 1070. Give me a break! If the Arizona show was a sell out you would bet they would be playing that one. Maybe people are staying home because of your political leanings as well as the ticket prices.

Left wing lunatics like the whiner 'ascendo tuum' are bad enough but wailing lesbian skanks are more than anyone deserves.

They would have played the show and made it into a giant protest if they were selling any tickets.

I can remember seeing Sarah McLaughlin (sp?) at humble little Keller Park off 61 in the early 90's. With a couple opening acts, I think it was maybe $10 to get in, have a really intimate venue, soak up some rays, and enjoy the afternoon. Now, look at the "sponsors." Who runs this "FAIR" now? Obviously, no one or thing that is small-scale. THAT is what is sad. Everything music is now a huge corporate conglomerate. We reap what we sow, folks. The gals are playing for their corporate keepers, and we no longer have much "choice" in music venues.
I saw Tool back in the day at 1st Ave. What an incredible show (and cheap.) As much as I wanted to see them, I couldn't bring myself to see them at the X. It just wouldn't be the same.
More sad state of affairs.

As hetero women, if all we had to choose from were guys like you, we would all be lesbians. Guaranteed...
