It wasn't Van Halen. I think you need to direct your wrath toward @theGRAMMYs for announcing anything before all the I's were dotted, all the T's were crossed and every loose end was tied up, The fans wanted to believe and the Grammy machine fed on it and then let it ride without a correction.

Correct the Grammy's without the consent of Van Halen made the announcement the band was suposed to be the Beach Boys not Van Halen.
