"I don't think there are any Russians, and there ain't no Yanks. Just corporate criminals, playing with tanks."

Every time I hear "The Walls Came Down" in a crowd, everyone sings (shouts!) along with that line. It's a perfect nugget of pop-music truth.

Thanks for that and so much more, and RIP, Michael Been.

Michael Been was the best musician I ever knew - hands down - bar none. He wrote and sang from a place so deep inside that most folks don't even know it exists. I am devastated by this news. Bless your magnificent soul Michael. Thanks for leaving its traces here to nourish ours.(You folks that don't know what I'm talking about need to listen to "I Still Believe," "I Don't Wanna," and "You Were There" for starters.)

Goodbye Michael and thank you.

Shouldn't "to" be "too".

Does anyone at the Sentinel actually read what they post?

Really? It looks to me as if it is being used to modify "near" in which case "too" would be correct.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Pisces

Relationships are kind of shaky under this Lunar Cycle and you may even get the distinct impression you're heading for a major showdown with a certain someone. Although this feels like a crisis, don't let panic or desperation push you into decisions you would normally steer clear of. You may think you've reached the end of the road, but this isn't a good reason to go off the deep end and make drastic decisions. Proceed with caution!
