Michael Been was the best musician I ever knew - hands down - bar none. He wrote and sang from a place so deep inside that most folks don't even know it exists. I am devastated by this news. Bless your magnificent soul Michael. Thanks for leaving its traces here to nourish ours.(You folks that don't know what I'm talking about need to listen to "I Still Believe," "I Don't Wanna," and "You Were There" for starters.)
