Why is it that Republican's like John Garner demand a democracy when the Democratic Party holds the governorship and a dictatorship after the Republicans win.

I'm a bit confused. Garner's letter said nothing about 'democracy'- it simply expressed the opinion that by not going back into session, the legislature should not be paid for work not done.

As for a lame duck session, it would seem a couple of issues could be resolved - including the expansion of the Castle Doctrine and the repeal of the mandatory fire sprinkler system in new construction. Unfortunately, any effort to do good things in the lame duck session are being outweighed by concerns that the teacher's union will push for new pension rules that will crush taxpayers, and by the Governor's demand for new taxes to balance a budget that he overspent on.

I agree with Mr Garner, why should they get payed. Just take a look at Tom Corbett, he is voted in office only one day and he takes off. Everyone is still waiting for him to name the company that no one would go back to work for till there unemployment ran out. You all know Corbett lied about that but yet you voted the lier in. More iies to come from this clown for sure. Take note Corbett never has a hair out of place, lol. Pretty boy Tom is his nick name. He will put taxes up for sure.He is a lier !!!!!

Tommy boy has nice hair , wonder if it real.if not the tax payers payed for it. you all are going to pay big time with pretty boy tommy.

Got that right,Tom Corbett milking the goverment allready.He did lie about the unemployed.All he did with it was take his statement back.I didn,t vote for him.No hair out of place governer.What we really need is one with back bone instead of no hair out of place.Corbett,take the rest of your term off because you will not be missed. Higher taxes on there way people. Someone needs to pay for all the cuts no hair out of place is going to make.

The first of the year I am out of a job and why ? Tom Corbett. He is cutting State Workers so don,t look for first service that that means even getting your drivers license. One worker for every three. Who will take care of my family and I. You are in the means of unemployment and food stamps. I was allready handed the forms to fill out for food stamps by Governer Corbetts office. His statement at the meeting was he will take care of the State workers that are being layed off. Now tell me is that lowering taxes by putting more people on food stamp program. I f you think so then your a dumb butt. Governer Corbett will indeed up taxes to pay for the unemployed he is laying off. Were are you people from ????? get your heads out of the dark spot dumb butts.
