You haven't tried for a visa to many places apparently. American's WERE welcome anywhere because they typically have no fiscal discipline and will spend stupid amounts on anything.

Still not that hard to get visas to most places, but there're times it's best to claim to be Canadian.

If you mean the immigration lottery, then you really should read the requirements for emigration anywhere, including Canada.
