Classical artist rocks arena - REVIEW

I used to like Andre Rieu until he incorporated that racist skit in his "act" where he mocks one of his female performers and says she's "Polish" as if she has inferior intelligence.

The origin of the stereotype that Poles have subhuman intelligence came from Nazi propaganda since the Nazis felt the Poles had less then human intelligence since they were Slavic.

People are starting to wonder if this Dutchman Andre Rieu has family connections to the Nazis.

Andre Rieu seems like a closet Nazi bigot.

Rieu has also offended other cultures as well. I agree with the review, as well as, those on Amazon and guitar. Com.

PBS is now distancing itself from Rieu. PBS, and the Mayor or Rieus hometown have apologized to the countries and people Rieu has denegrated.

We have also thrown out all Andre Rieu CDs/DVDs.

Yes, Andre Rieu has crossed the line of decency. Rieu has shown his true racist side in demeaning cultures. Rieu has made awful and hurtful demeaning generalizations against Swedes and Blacks as well.
Is not the worst bigot a seeming educated and cultured one? Yes, for these types, as Rieu portrays himself can cause the most hurt, as Rieu has done, with his insensitive and demeaning insults, again, to Swedes and Blacks as well.
We too, have thrown all of our Rieu DVDs and CDs out!!!
How 1 man can ruin the entire image of the Dutch is aweful. Rieu has awakened interest in the "Dutch Nazi Collaborations" with the Nazis, and how the Dutch had one of the most viscious SS parties during WWII. The Dutch eagerly turned in Jews and brought them to the main square for deportation to German camps. Google "Dutch Antsemitism."
There is enough hate in this world, without this closet Nazi, perpetuating hate more.

ANDRE RIEU, Do NOT Come To SWEDEN! Stay Away!

What in the world is wrong with you - did you fail to be able to shake hands with Rieu when he last visited your area? What a load of sour grapes - and such hate mongering against one of the most beloved artists in the arena today!! His gorgeous music is what speaks to people. And do you realize that he spotlights a beautiful young singer from South Africa in his Orchestra? And has performed there numerous times, as well? Maybe you need to do a bit of research before you put your poisin pen in gear! You might also want to check out the fact that he has toured with the Harlem Gospel Choir - a magnificent black group of whom he is very proud! I've never heard him utter a single negative word against Swedes or Poles, either. He makes fun of himself as much as anything. Much of his humor in concert is self-deprecating. Why don't you actually watch and listen? Then you might want to watch and listen a good number of American "comics" who make fun of just about everyone!!

Having read Brad Patton's review in total, I heartily agree with every single word he wrote following his obviously good time at the Andre Rieu
Concert he attended. Everyone in Wilkes Barre who was at the concert had a wonderful time and was as smitten with the "maestro" as are millions who hear and see him nearly every day in his fabulous concerts played all over the world.
