I went to the Boz Scaggs show. I was disappointed with the lack-luster performance. The band was great. The lady singer stole the show. Too bad her choice of costume was a see-thru cat suit. Not attractive on heavy-set ladies. At one point in the show, the band kicked off "Breakdown Dead Ahead" and Boz started singing Lido shuffle. They are a lot alike, I guess.

We had one of the best bands in the country, Widespread Panic from Athens, GA, booked for the Abe Chavez theater last year and it never got promoted. I had front row tickets with a few friends of mine and they ended up canceling due to lack of ticket sales.

Now we bring in these has-beens and the music ignorant necks buy lots of tickets....or else these shows are poorly attended and you never hear about it.

I disagree with music fan - you shouldn't call great musicians hasbeens. Everyone's taste is different. Another concert that kind of slipped through the cracks was Rib Rock at Western Playland. The local bands were OK but the headliner, Led Zepagain, was so amazing. Their performance of that music made it all come alive again. The crowd went crazy despite the horrible windy conditions. I hope they'll come back and give El Paso another chance!

lol what a funny post
It's true, the metal days are long past
but a lot of people still like the music and
in some cases, the musicians have improved a lot over 20 years.
MEtal forever!

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aquarius

The emotional atmosphere is quite potent under this Lunar Eclipse, evoking a sense of crisis. The problems you've been experiencing with a certain person lately come to a head during the next fortnight, making you feel that you have to take drastic action or lay down the law. Yet this could make the situation worse than ever, especially if you act from a sense of panic or desperation. Take things gently and don't throw your weight around unless it's absolutely necessary.
