I agree with Deep In Texas. Met Stevie in 1982 and again in 1983. In 1982, I was a young kid playing Hendrix in a music store (guitar shop) when this guy walks up, plugs in and "jams" for a minute. He was INCREDIBLE! He showed me some things that I had not even thought about yet. The next year, I "found out who he was"! Saw him at a little bowling alley auditorium in Oak Cliff, Texas and he REALLY blew me away! It is SO great to know that Stevie is STILL influencing people! Keep it alive and keep it REAL!

I may not live in TX. but I completely agree also with Deep In Texas & srvfan- Wow!!!! That awesome meeting & experience must have just 'floored you'! Didn't you find Stevie to be so humble & of course VERY talented? He was the type of guy who did not let 'fame' go to his head. He always made time to stop & talk with his fans- not too many of them around these days. Sure do miss him, but so very glad to have his CD's & DVD's, my only problem with this is that I'm wearing 'em out!! Oh well, guess thats what music stores are around for. Also, so nice to hear 'good' things of Stevie instead of alot of 'bitterness & jealousy'! I'm with you srvfan, "Keep it alive & keep it REAL"! Again, Not from Texas, but STILL missing & loving Stevie Ray!
