She suffered enough.

Charles Manson had these girls high on drugs and under his hypnotic spell, they couldn't think straigt or on their own.

How else can you explain her confession that she had stabbed Sharon Tate multiple times.

But it seems that an elderly lady with one amputated leg presented no danger to society.

But the parole board being what they are a political machine as you will that caters to the rich and famous or celebrities displayed absolutely no mercy in paraling an apparent non-entity or commoner.

And the reality is that celebrities like Robert Blake, OJ Simpson, and many others have gotten away with murder, which could explain Manson's outrage with those elitist celebrities or bourgeoise.

Susan Atkins got exactally what she deserved, why should she be given any mercy? She did not show any mercy to Sharon Tate and an innocent child. She can blame Charles Manson all she wants too but in the end she made her own choices. When you knowing take drugs you are still held responsible for any actions you take.

"She suffered enough." Sharon Tate's sister, Debra, STILL suffers, because she lost her big sister, whom she loved very, very much, to a nauseating, disgusting death at the hands of Susan Atkins. I'm sorry Susan Atkins ever had to go to prison, because that would have meant Sharon was still on this earth to enjoy raising her son.

Stop the romanticizing of Sharon Tate's life, if she had lived. She was pregnant and married to a pediphile, not a good combination for a happy life. Many have suffered as a result of those times, it seems appropriate that Polanski is being returned to pay for and put an end to that era.

How about you check your dates, the killings took place in Dec of 1969 and the child rape took place in March of 1977. And how can his dead wife or unborn child be in your eyes some how blamed and slammed for his actions. You or no one else can say that they would not have had a great life if Manson and his family had not entered their lives.

not blaming anyone, expecially those that were brutally murdered. you think polanski just started being a pediphile in the '70's. what i am saying is this whole thing was a tradgedy with tragic figures whose lives seem to have had a cloud following them through thier lives. no explanation, just an observation.
and, becasue someone die, it doesn't automatically turn them into a saint, as some try to do. neither does pregnancy. I don't care if it is Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Jasmine Fiore, or Sharon Tate. they were human beings, some with access to great priveldge and few boundaries. something that can work against a persons' best interests.

Based on some recent revelations of celebrities like Mckenzie Phillips(raped by her father) and most notably Sharon Tate's own husband guilty of raping an underrage girl, there was already an already inordinate amount of dysfunction in the Polonski household.

And with the recent death of David Carradine due to an auto-eroticism incident in Thailand, celebrities engage in sexual acts that are not the most wholesome or becoming.

Thus the presence in the Tate home of rope in the room of Sharon Tate may well indicate an case of accidental death of Sharon Tate by auto eroticism.

As all of the evidence suggest even Roman Polanski's own sexual fetish for underrage girls that the dysfunction in this celebrity household was an inevitability.

Therefore Susan Atkins was most likely at the wrong place at the wrong time, and was accused of murdering Sharon Tate where the evidence suggests that it was due to Auto eroticism.

Thus Susan Atkins lacking the financial means to defend herself against a celebrity family or their celebrity defense team got the short end of the stick.

And the criminal, pedophile, rapists Roman Polanski prowls the streets of Europe looking for his next rape child victim.

Perhaps the 40 million dollars spent for free room and board and teeth should be something to consider why our country should enforce the death penalty. What good did she bring to this world after her murdering spree? Health care reform will enforce euthanasia to those with a deadly disease, or condition, but let's keep murderers, child killers, predators alive to drain the system. What's the sense in this?
Whatever happened to common sense?

Gonzallo, Rita, big money mike should be victims of the Mansons. They seem to think life is there for Mansons and other murderers to judge.
Thinking like this should merit the responsible parties a date with death. If you support death by all means let's give it to you!

I have never condoned the crimes of the Manson Family. Brutal and tragic, they deserved criminal punishment. I have looked at how Susan Atkins finally turned her life around and impacted many lives in a positive manner, ended up with a terminal disease, was no longer in a position to harm anyone, was no longer a follower of manson, and, based purely on compassionate and fiscal reasons, should have been released last year. I also don't think it serves anyone to beatify the dead. tbis chapter has drawn to a close and it is time to move on.

I'm really not sure how my comment is romanticizing Sharon Tate's life. What Roman Polanski did has NOTHING to do with Sharon being brutally murdered. And coming back to this country will not end an era. Sharon was looking forward to the birth of her child and was robbed of that. Had she lived, she would have enjoyed raising her son. That's romanticizing her life? I don't think so...it's just a fact.

It is very unfortunate that Sharon Tate was at the household at the time the Manson family entered.

She was not an intended target or there was no pre-meditation to murder Sharon Tate.

She just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I can totally ignore Susan Atkin's admission that she had showed no mercy while Sharon Tate begged for mercy.

This admission is highly unlikely or improbable as the Manson girls were willing to just about admit to anything in order that Manson could be scott free.

You forgot about justice for the victims and their families. I bet if it was your pregnant sister that was killed like an animal-you'd be wanting her killers to rot in prison too. If Sharon was my sister, I'd make damn sure those scruffy bitches that killed her died in prison. Remember, there were plenty of Manson girls that left when the going got violent. Susan Atkins chose to stay and kill. She managed to avoid the gas chamber-that was more compassion than she deserved.

Atkins also had a child that was threatened with death if she didn't stay with the family. between a rock and a hard space. When someone is dying of brain cancer, what is the point ofcontunuing to punish, they are not even aware of what is going on. If you want to look at an interesting case, look at the Randy reeves case, in nebraska. He killed two woman, one family wanted Randy to get death penalty, the other woman family continued thier active opistiton to the death penalty. the husband and daughter of one of the women faught to get his sentence commuted to life without parole for years. Some people know how to let compassion into thier lives.

Great...That's one less tax dollar keeping her alive. Anyone who can kill as many people as they did and cut out a baby from Sharon Tates stomach should have been exterminated

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Taurus

Everything seems to be getting under your skin at the moment, but this is no excuse to lose your temper, and you know it. Better by far to be discreet and plough on steadily, without looking to the left or right. If you keep your feet on the ground and don't get discouraged, there are definitely fair winds that will blow you along. It's just a question of finding the right balance between confidence and commonsense.
