Beware of lightinthebox scam

I opened a lightinthebox.com account on the 14th of April 2009. I made an online order of some items and made a western union payment. A couple of days later they sent me an email saying the items i seleccted were out of stock, i made a new order and then again out of stock, i requested for a refund and have to date never received any refund.
First they claimed very high transaction fees by western union, i stood firm and then they insisted i must use paypal, i refused and finally then sent me fake western union refund details.

www.lightinthebox.com is fake. beware.

I ordered a cellphone from light in the box,They took the payment from my visa card & wont ship phone.They are now requesting copies of my drivers license & a copy of My debit card,in their order confirmation they state if you are not comfortable doing this they will issue a refund.to date no phone & no refund.Beware of them,they are scammers.

I ordered a laptop and the item arrived without problems. It was exactly what the web showed, and arrived in three days.
I hope my luck will hold in future orders.

WOW......I was one click away from buying $900 worth of electric razors that looked too good to be true. But common sense kicked in that last crucial moment and made me go research this company. And after reading all the ordeals people have been thru, I quickly closed the paypal payment screen. WHEW!

Dear Sir, Wish you better luck next time you buy electronics, cause I have a very good commercial relationship with Lightinthebox, I do sell all of they´re items here in my country, Costa Rica, by daytechcr dot com, and have to say that the last two years all my purchases were ok. I do recommend Lightinthebox, like honest people.

This company is a BIG SCAM. I ordered a digital camcoder and they shipped me JUNK. And plus the remote control and batteries are missing. I put in a request for a refund but no response. I am sure they ran with my money. Light in the Box give a BAD name to the chinese people. SCAM...SCAM...SCAM....

hey really i dont want to make any bitter thoughts about lighinthebox but i know a better one on which people can trust fully !

I placed an order for a cellphone watch for my son. When the watch came my son decided it was not what he wanted since the watch looked huge on his arm and he had to turn the watch/phone on every time he needed to check the time.
When I contacted lightinthebox about returning the watch I got an e-mail wanting to know EXACTLY why I wanted the return before they would authorize. When they did authorize the return I was informed that there would be a 15% restocking fee and I would have to pay to ship the item back myself. I guess I am spoiled by 100% satisfaction guarantees. I recently returned an ipod and Apple returned 100% of my purchase price and paid my return shipping. I will never deal with this company again, and will encourage everyone else not too either.

i bought a kitchen faucet from them. It came right away without problems. The faucet itself seems to be working fine.

Their customer service is non-existent. The return policy is a hoax, in that they'll only accept returns if you include their form. But they won't send you the form. So you're stuck. I've tried email and the online chat and was shafted by both.

My friend ordered a wedding dress, and now it's turning into another disaster. I will NEVER deal with them again, and have informed ALL my friends on facebook and twitter about this scam of an outfit. Hopefully, the damage done will be limited to me and my friend only. What a terrible operation.

I order my products 20days back. They didnt send any products. when ever I mail, they are postponing the shiping date it is almost 20 days. But till now they didnt send. So I will see for one more week. If not I am planning to complain to Paypal. If any one faced the same problem.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!!! I'm not trying to ruin the company's reputation. I ordered video games accessories for retail. Total amount - USD302.26! I made payment on the 1st Jan 2010, till now i have not receive anything and its FEBRUARY 12th 2011!!!!! Despite sending a receipt of my wire transfer payment, they still denied that i have made payment! At first, the customer service told me that they will process it right away and they verified my payment. After i got back with them after a month, they told me payment's not made. What is this!????! 100% fraud. Guys there are lots of wholesale companies out there. PLEASE if possible,do yourself a favour.. don't get con by this guys. they are good.
