I don't think that there will be much of a turnout this year either. People are more educated now, and can see "Jazz" for what it is: randomly generated noise produced by pathetic, no-talent "hipsters". It's all a sham and now finally, the world can see the trees through the noise.
Jazz...fooling no one. No one will show for the "fehstivahl".

you could say that about any music. To those who don't understand classical, it can be perceived as noise. In fact, Jazz is not random- it adheres to the rules, occasionally bending and breaking them. Granted, much of the modern stuff isn't the most appealing to the ear. But it is like a language- in your case, you just can't understand the words.

If anything, people are less educated, and thus jazz has a limited following.
