Just because some historical figure or celebrity says something derrogatory or racist does not justify it or give any person, regardless of race or creed, the right to use that term to demean or disrespect any human being. You can't change your race - you were born in the skin you're in and putting someone down or even glorifying someone by giving them credit because of their race or skin color does not change the fact that they are who they are. Words don't change the legacy of slavery inflicted on minorities nor the retaliation of those minorities against those accused - it just spawns more bitterness and hatred and I, as an American young person and a citizen of this country, am SO sick of it!
