Half A Who Can Still Rock At Full Power

Too bad Mr. Danton feels that "Roger Daltry singing Pete Townshend songs" show at the casino was somehow relevant to the original band's sound or concerts. Without the power duo of Entwistle & Moon maintaining the original freshness of the real Who, this rendition of 'take the money and run' just did not cut it. For people who did not have the opportunity to see Keith Moon in the center of the stage furiously setting the tempo for the rage that the Who had, playing off of John Entwistle's driving rhythmic bass, I am sure hearing these songs live was a treat. For me, it is a sign of the times. This was not the Who no matter what spin Townshend puts on it. And hasn't been for quite some time...

You are right, two of the 4 leads are gone. Zak does a workman's job of it and Pino is just not Mr. Bassman as the Ox was. But what could you do? They're dead, it's not like Bill Wyman sitting at home while the ersatz Stones tour.
