Frampton outraged over stolen Obama signs

I have had multiple McCain signs stolen so this the issue of sign thefts is obviously becoming more and more of a problem. I am in favor of heavier penalties for stealing signs -- whether Obama or McCain. Frampton is right. People should be able to express their 1st amendment right to support a candidate, and not everyone has the financial resources to buy additional signs when stolen. The sign thief scoundrels should be severely punished by paying a fine of $5,000 and serving 3 months in jail. Put a few people behind bars and I suspect we will see the rate of sign thefts plummet.

Well, did you ever think that perhaps Obama supporters were stealing your sign so that you would have to donate more?
Seriouosly, in my neighborhood it is the McCain signs being destroyed. I think it is wrong for both sides not to be tolerant of others opinions. |

Now he knows how us Republicans feel... Stealing signs is not right, even when they are posted on public property, let alone private. However, most Republicans wont put up signs because they either get stolen or people vandalize the home, car, or other property of the person displaying the sign. When one side can not support their candidate for fear of reprisal, that is not good! So stop stealing people's signs! That goes for you libs and you conservatives...
