Thank God; 9-11 did not happen in Mill Valley. They would have made Osama BIn Laden; a national hero. I can't wait to this guy passes. Because; if his head was on fire; I would not even think about P---ng down his mouth! If he feels so about how things are, he should move to North Korea, or CHina!

As a Geezer in Residence at The Redwoods, I would like to share a bit of the "behind the scenes" story of Pete Seeger's appearance here.
We lined like "Geriatric Groupies", two hours before the performance. Some sat perched on their walkers; a few elderly ladies sat on the floor; one of them asked me if I would help to pick her up, if she couldn't get up on her own, when Pete arrived.
Tis was more than a show for us. Pete Seeger exemplifies our time, our hopes, our pain, our dreams.
When he arrived, we cheered him! He acknowledged it with a shy smile.
Thank God, we have lived to see this man achieve the recognition and respect of the nation, after his many years of political, economic, and social isolation.
Many of us hope that we will see him awarded the Nobel Prize for his lifelong battle for social justice
and, more recently, the environment.

Wow! I wish I was there. Pete Seeger has been an inspiration for my entire adult life - not only for anti-war protest, but for music. Because of him I learned to play the five-string banjo and the classical guitar. He has touched us all in so many varied and profound ways. When you are with him, his down home humanity and his vision of what is possible are both unmistakably present.

Hey lsmft,(what kind of name is that) A little
advice. If you want to appear intelligent-keep
your mouth shut. Being silent may actually fool
some people into thinking that your IQ (?) is
above -40. Now try real hard- I know its tough
but you can do it.So have another sip of Kool
aid (do you dip a tea bag in yours ?), fondle
your offshore Obama birth certificate and
pucker up and worship at Glen Becks alter.
The world needs you !!!

How very strange, this string of commentary here. History is indeed repeating itself when "Commie!" and "Socialist!" and "Hitler!" are hurled without thought or knowledge. How have we come to this state of national ignorance, an ignorance that is worn like a badge of honor, pride, patriotism. Lord deliver us from such "patriotism" and blind "faith." Pete Seeger has railed against ignorance his whole life and will continue after he is gone, as long as intelligent and thinking people persevere.

The "young" seniors at the Redwood wanted to get an up close look before putting down their cash in the Dead Pool.....marking the dates and laying their bets.....before the pool closes.

Good luck you old geezers!

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Aquarius

The atmosphere in the office is stressful. Learn to divide time in a planned and phased manner. Beware of starting a lot of new things but not having the time to finish any of them. Mental overload will burn your busy and chaotic schedules and health problems may crop up all of a sudden. If you party with friends this evening, don't make it too late.
