Maybe if we all still had to actually walk the cart back into the store we wouldn't be one of the fattest countries in the world.

I confess that I am sometimes guilty of leaving the cart near my car. When I have my baby with me, I don't want to leave him alone in the car while I return the cart to the corral, and carrying him while I return it is too unwieldy. I try to park near the corral, but it's not always possible. So, when I see a loose cart, I keep my blood pressure down by remembering that it could have been left by a parent in the same situation.

Sorry, but I don't agree. I've got four kids, I get them strapped in, load up the groceries, and lock the doors. I'm away from the car for 30-45 seconds while I put the cart in the corral. Another option is to ask for assistance and give the bag boy a dollar.

I always hope to find a loose cart at the handicap spaces. My knees are weak and walking without something to help steady me can be difficult. There are times when there are no handicap spaces open, so I park as close to a corral as possible or where a loose cart is. My pet peeve is a parent who is too lazy too dispose of a diaper properly and just tosses them into the parking lot for someone else to clean up.

Thanks, I have had so many dents in my car from idiots too lazy to take a cart back. If the other lady can not carry her baby a few feet then she needs to get a helper.

I do not throw butts out because I do not smoke, but my car did not even come with an ashtray. Mainly, I think it is because they do not want their cars to stink.

Just goes to show not everyone should be allowed to have children

But I'd rather hit a dirty diaper with my car than an errant shopping cart.
