Teagan Squires, 29, proposed to his girlfriend two weeks ago and proudly escorted her into San Francisco's City Hall on Wednesday morning to make her his wife. Classical musicians played Pachelbel's Canon in D. Cameras clicked with abandon. Cheers erupted around the building. And Squires' mother promptly disappeared - borrowed by a lesbian couple from out of town needing a witness to make their wedding official. It may seem like it's all about same-sex weddings at City Hall, but there are also some straight couples who are marrying amid the whirlwind. Many seemed happy to share the historic moment. "It's more exciting," said Ana Pacheco, 30, who lives with her now-husband Squires in the Tenderloin. She wore a white and black polka-dot dress and carried hot pink flowers. "We'll never forget, right? It was the same time they legalized gay marriage." Squires, dressed in a dark suit, agreed. "I like that they allowed it," he said. "It's about time.">
