The whole point of this is that Oprah's not stupid. She realizes all her money comes from the affections of middle class suburban women everywhere. As BO's hype is disproven more and more, and the hopeychangey thing turns out to be an expensive bust, Oprah doesn't want to be remembered as a diehard BO person by these women as they start to dislike BO. Could hurt her profits, Oprah doesn't get her cash from ghetto radicals, after all. I doubt that she'll obviously try to "fix" Palin...she'll treat Palin fairly to hedge her bets.
