How realistic is it? Not one mention of nurses... how disheartening. After all nurses RUN the emergency room..right NEXT to doctors. Yet the word NURSE was not mentioned in the article ONCE! I never really watched ER, but if nurses were not a prime focus and all over the screen then the show was as far from reality as they get. To see first hand, go to any emergency room in the country.

Nurses actually, at least in the years I watched it were a central focus of the show. Juliana Marguiles in fact played a nurse, and she was surrounded by a believable set of recurring nurses. In fact, one of the best stories had the nurses going on strike showing how medical care suffered because the replacement nurses were not as good as the striking nurses.

Thats nice to hear, like I said I never really watched ER, but I was just wondering why nurses were not mentioned in the article, since you are saying they were a central focus of the show

Will truly miss this show... Well made, and every episode made you think. Wonderful mix of drama, comedy, with just a touch of schmaltz! With the onslaught of "reality" TV, there's not a single drama series left out there that holds my attention as ER has done for so many years.
Will be missed!

I have never seen ER, but it couldn't have changed television nearly as much as All in the Family, Beverly Hills 90210 or Degrassi.

Thank you.

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Aquarius

This is a good day for getting on with chores and mundane tasks. You'd much rather get them out of the way than have them hanging over you for any longer than necessary. What's more, you don't want to waste your time by doing things in the wrong order or by being so slapdash that you have to do something a second time. You're setting a terrific example right now!
