Ok, I'm snagged! I used to employ a lawyer who was one of scientology's biggest enemies. He defended people like Nicole Kidman when they would leave Scientology. Even though my line of work has no relation to celebrity, or the industry, I have been contacted by the churchs' Lawyers, had my phone lines tapped from time to time and been generally freaked out by this church of shadows.

They are one spooky business masquerading as a religion. LOL sounds funny, aren't all religions businesses pretenting to be religions?

Anyway Said Lawyer used to tell us all the scoop behind the church and it's celebs like John and Tom. I would love to see Tom put into a position where he comes clean not only about his homosexuality, but the insidious nature of Scientology.

I know I shouldn't care, but I do...I'm weak I guess.:-)

But yes, totally! Religions are businesses masquerading as religions. Selling intangible goods has a really huge profit margin!

Then there are businesses like Monsanto that are actually apocalyptic religions masquerading as businesses. And then there's the U.S. government, which is actually a business (Haliburton) masquerading as a government. And there's Exxon-Mobil, which is actually a government that masquerades as a business.

Anyway, the real question is: What in the world is Tom's big secret?!

Well, Tom is a Mo! Not a Mormon and not Missouri. But that's not a secret to us, just to Tom. Shhhhhh don't tell him we know. That wasn't even juice really, I did however meet John's ex Gay Luvaaah Mr. Paul Barresi at a few social gatherings. I met slews of people whom had escaped scientology, some had their kids taken away by a white van and held for ransom. I ended up firing that lawyer because he kept working on scientology cases and not for me, but I heard they eventually got him, reduced him to nothing, he lost his practice, his home and he had to move in with a client he'd helped escape.

By the way Jen, I agree with everything you said except for our Government being a big business. I think our Government is just a legally sanctioned Mafia. Income Tax indeed

1.) Why should straight adults have the "control" and right to say whether gay adults marry one another.?

2.) Oh yeah, I forgot...they "allow" us to marry them!
It is true. It is legal. It happens all the time.
We try to succumb to your "control" and give in.

But about Tom's mosexuality, which everyone's known about since he took out full page ads denying it... that can't be it. I mean Nicole says she was "terrified", "distraught", "upset", "panicking", "distressed", "bracing herself", "reliving her nightmare" and "concerned" about the tapes. So huh? Is she that mophobic? And then they say they'll retreat from Hollywood? Now? Like it would make any difference?

It's gotta be something more. He's probably into some very specific fetishes, like maybe he dresses up in diapers and has Nicole spank him and feed him from a bottle while doing water sports or something. Who knows? Why are you telling us this? Beach, honey, I'm so gay I'm straight.(I'm a straight transsexual woman, and in my former life I lived as a gay man with dangerous drag tendencies.) like with everything, it's force of numbers - votes - minority groups becoming majority groups as ranks swell -[no pun intended]- the world is changing fast, and will grow up when we all discover no-one really has control over us but ourselves - at the end of the day.
And like the thread re TC and his scientology/mind thing,
it's all about a mind set. And one that you choose. Yes some are forced into it - but then we need to see why one becomes victim to such 'force'- seductive, secretive, religious or otherwise.

Hi Mary Jo. I'm just taking a breather from arguing with rightwing Xtian bigots over on the Gay and Lesbian forums. Do you mind if I do this without people assuming I'm some rightwinger? If you're curious I'm generally to the left of most democrats. What's going on in this thread about Tom and Nicole is just having some fun and trying to enjoy life, despite the horrible things that surround all of us. Life is short (and getting shorter with GWB in charge). I, personally, can't stress out about everything that happens in the world 24/7. Tried that and it makes me go nuts.
