I truly hope the press will leave them alone and let them have their dream wedding and honeymoon. They are just as deserving of that as some unknown that the press doesn't care about.

Maybe Nicole and Keith van make a deal with the press to give a few pictures for their privacy?

MaryJo and mjb ... I have no doubt that the press have already "been given the drum" on security for tomorrow ... Generally things have been controlled with Nicole allowing a fair invasion to her privacy ...

Lucky for Keith, he isn't the main character, so to speak ... and that would be right up his alley ... Apparently Keith went down town Sydney with a few family and friends to watch the soccer Australia V Croatia and it barely caused a ripple in what was a huge crowd ...

I'm hearing "BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD" on that DVD right now ... So maybe that says it all ...

Bye ... Colleen

Wow- such a lot of money to pay for a week's retreat: when Australia has so many lovely spots for a special stress-free honeymoon.

a big chunk of that could've gone to the tsunami reconstruction.

they already give loads to charities, they're entitled to a life themselves.and a honeymoon is a special occasion,so why shouldn't they push the boat out?

The true spirit of giving is to do it in private. It defeats the purpose when you tell about it. I am sure many celebs including Nicole and Keith give alot they choose not to make a point of advertiseing it. I believe that is what makes giving truly "spiritual".

it was in response to the previous post with a further good reason why a secluded place in Aus [reef] could have been a better choice. It confirms my feeling that Aussie designers for the wedding gear could have been elevated too]- am a bit tired at the mo, so excuse any bad grammar pls.- am dealing with death right now, quite possibly the most intense feeling of all.

re choice of retreat:
it's like Angelina says: "If I have 3 million, then there's a million I don't need".

it's just that conspicuous excess these days rubs many up the wrong way.

i personally don't care - the planet's past its use-by date.

and i leave no further life that I am responsible for in this increasingly uncertain world.

Why shoud anyone tell them where & why they shoud/shoudn't go and do what they want with their own HARD-EARNED money ?

Let's all mind our own business and "Ask Not What Others Can Do For The World But What YOU Can Do, otherwise shut up and Go Get A Life" -Hook Chow

Let's let them enjoy themselves how they want etc.'cos , to put it simply, they deserve their own space and happiness too and it would be best for us to.... GO ABOUT OUR OWN LIVES !!!

Thank you all very much.

A week in and around the Whitsundays on a luxury yacht would have been just fine but guess it's their money to burn...am pretty sure that hotel staff at Wakaya will be taking pics of them and someone can make a lof of money out of their stay there which will compensate more than enough which could easily equate to 10 years' wages in Fiji....Vista shall we get a bilibili ready for the trip yonder to make some cash...must take my LSR and power lenses:o)

Merenam, am glad to be recovering (AGAAIN!!!!!lol) and yes, much thanks to the lovely couple for bringing in revenue to Fiji. The landowners will surely stand to benefit from this trip. Hi from Queensland ... Actually, I think Nicole did want to come to the sunny Whitsunday region of Keith's home state ... But Keith was given the word that I lived here ... I think Tahiti was far enough from me but not far enough from the media ...

Keith and Nicole Urban are now back in down town Nashville and Keith will start by entertaining the folks at Sarnia in Canada on July 13 ... Nicole is currently working on a movie ... So not only do they love each other, they respect the love they have for their different careers and the best we can do is to show them we support all they stand for and all they do ...

Regards ... Colleen

LOL
:)

If if wanted to be argumentative, which sometimes I can't resist, just for the hell of it, without anyone getting hurt -i would like to say that i would have felt uncomfortable living for a week with an entire complex of empty beds at my cause, whilst kids are freezing in post earth-quake Pakistan, and while New Orleaners are still waiting in their sewerage and in tents.
They didn't get the privacy they paid for, thus easily a cheaper venue could have been chosen and possibly over a million tents bought and sent to Pakistan or Mississippi.

Not a night goes by here when I dive into my electrically heated bed that I don't think the street-people sleeping in the rain and storms.
That's why over-indulged people need to wake up and realise that 'conspicuoys consumption is not popular with the MAJORITY of the world's peoples - esp here in Africa. That's why Angelina gets into the FIELD, getting her feet muddy, to see and FEEL for herself, irrespective of the cash she passes on into the Humanitarian Industry.

Off my soap box now!!
;=}

Another bloody perfect sunny day here in this paradise.
Bet the same for u, COLLEEN.
enjoy your week.

PS
A commentator recently said that 'they' seem unhappy or bored on their honeymoon, and I answered that probably the very next shot could show them 'cracking up' over something - and there it was - them laughing at each other with KU taking the selfs-portrait.

Cheers to them Colleen. Nicole and Keith are a match made in heaven. Channel 10 showed them arriving in Nashville after their Bora Bora honeymoon.

Great ... Now I'll have to wait till the late news ... I must have been doing some home duties at that time (someone has to)... Thanks for letting me know ... It's great to see another Aussie on board the Keith Urban News Forum and a big supporter of our Aussie talent as well ...

All the best ... Colleen

Colleen, I'm just passing through here 'cause I'm not an Aussie. My third year here though. Just out of interest, do you watch Big Brother- 'cause I do quite avidly. I prefer last years with Vesna and Co. It might be a good cure for my web forum addiction to glue myself to the Big Brother website instead of sowing storms and reaping typhoons in some forums, lol. And I'm a geriatric too (mid forties), hahaha
