What a shame that people express their opinion in such hateful ways. I think Nicole is a lovely woman who got a really bad deal from her previous husband. She seems so happy now, and I truly hope she is. I have not loved all her movies, but I don't love all the movies of anyone else either. She has escaped the engenue role, and that is smart on her part. If she wishes now to work much less often and concentrate on her real life and family, she can do that with the assurance that real adult roles will come along for her if she chooses to work. She has a lovely family and I believe a much nicer and more loving husband than she had in her past life. I am sure she is heart broken about the choices of her other children and Cruise's influence over them, but they are very close to grown and she is wise to step back and hope they will remember their Mom and wish her to be a big part of their lives.
