Saturday evening, that old piano from down the avenue will sound a little different.

I am a bit annoyed about this last minute change. We are in town from Australia...bought these tickets before we left home. I looked at the web site at the time and there was no mention that he was going to pull a switcheroo.

Sounds like a reason to demand a refund. It would be different if he had taken ill or had some kind of emergency but HE knew all along he was going to do this so he should have given a heads up to the theater and NPR as to what date he was going to do this.

But, hate to break it to you, I'm not surprised that Keillor would do this.

GK's biggest draw is his story telling. While we should give Ms. Watkins a chance, it's my understanding she's a good musician but not a story teller.

Keillor will be at home measuring the height of his neighbor's garage.

I applaud Mr. Keillor's beginning to hand over the reins, but after hearing tonight's show, he should keep looking for another heir. Fortunately or unfortunately, Ms. Watkins is a wonderful singer but an awful host.

I thought she did a great job! She's as cute as a button--even on the radio! Mr. Kiellor's singing was not missed in this household!

I don't know why he EVER has her on the show, let alone host it. She's got an awful warbly singing voice, no radio talent whatsoever, and could barely read from the script that night. Was I the only one who got tired of hearing her say, "Um" every 5th word? I'd much rather see Sue Scott as a guest host. At least she has talent!
