Convenient as hell that this lunar orbiter shows up with photos on an anniversary that's sure to reignite the moon-landing hoax debate.

I might be wrong about this, but I believe I remember reading the intent was to have the pics of the landing sites ready for the public on the 4th of July. It was supposed to be a patriotic thing I guess. In any case, the hoaxers wouldn't be convinced even if they were personally taken to the landing sites to see the evidence for themselves. Conspiracy theorists are not constrained by silly things like logic and reason, ya know. |

It's funny how they release the photos now. Just a month or so from the Japanese SMART-1 Photos which were high resolutions to map out the entire moon back in 2006. It was only then that we could say for sure if we landed on the moon. I know we have so I should be pleasantly surprise to see these new photos but I'm a little curious as to why NASA wants to release them now.

1 I thought it looked a lot like a "back lot" at Universal Studios. They have to share this with Wakko, Yakko and Dot. |

They may be people on the moon who are starving. |

1 Just follow the money-trail, NASA needs funding, and to keep this business afloat, we are going to be subjected to a flood of propaganda... Maybe this time we will go there for real, instead of the cold-war nonsense over Sputnik one-ups-man-ship... |

1 I've done PLENTY of research, nimrod. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_Moon_Land... http://www.clavius.org/ http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.... http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2001/ast23... The following is a link to photographic proof of the five landing sites that so far have been flown over by the Lunar Reconaissance Orbiter, which is tasked with detailed mapping of the entire Moon and seeking water ice at the poles so that we can go BACK there and STAY, with an eye toward a Mars landing you won't believe happened either. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LRO/multime... Anyone who doubts the validity of the historical fact we went to the moon NINE TIMES and landed on it SIX TIMES at this point isn't worth further discussion with me as obviously you're not into fact based thinking. I feel sorry for any children you may have and would like the state in which you were "educated" to get its money back. |

Anyone can believe anything they like. Religion is a great example of belief in absence of fact. However, in order to believe we faked these landings six times and flights there altogether nine times, you have to believe so much implausibility it makes rational people's heads spin. You have to believe it is impossible to track spacecraft, impossible to detect where their radio signals are coming from just to name two, and you have to believe that Russia would just knuckle under and say we did it when, supposing as you'd have to in order to back up your conspiracy, they knew we did not and make up reasons for that, and the same with China...you've got mountains of knuckle dragging stupidity to explain and I have yet to see anyone rationally explain to me how all the facts I've seen (I was present three miles from those launch pads for the launches of Apollo 14 and Apollo 16) are lies and all their theories are facts. Anytime you have facts to back up your denier BS, let me know. |

1 You need to resort to childish insults to try and prove your point? If you want to believe every lie and fake picture NASA puts out, that's your right. I have the right to turn my head and not swallow the pablum. Van Allen Radiation Belt Flapping flag No dust on the pads of the module Dirt falling right to the ground, instead of floating for a period of time And I'm sure you know the rest. Even the man who made the chest mounted cameras could not explain the different shadows. Your links did not work for me. The other poster who mentioned he was 3 miles from the liftoffs? Watching a rocket take off from Earth does not prove it went to the moon. |
