But fans had to wait about 30 minutes for him to arrive. Granted, it wasn't as extravagant as the space-age staging for his Glow in the Dark tour, which garnered generally good reviews this summer.

This is merely my opinion, but I don't even think you went to the show.
First Kanye West's set was a JOKE compared to the Multimedia Extravaganza that was NIN & their set. Kanye looked like he was using 2 guy's with flashlight's compared to the stage lighting for NIN's "LIGHTS IN THE SKY TOUR". So to say Kanye had the most impressive stage set-up is a complete falsehood.
2nd, Stone Temple Pilots were 20 minutes late because of sound issues, you could CLEARLY see the band ready and waiting to take the stage a good 10 minutes before they were able, while the tech guy's worked on an an amp. Why is a 20 minute wait caused by STP's tech issues, more troubling than Lil' Wayne just CHOOSING to come out 40 min late because he wanted to "take pictures"? Also, Scott Weiland did not ramble incoherently, well, I certainly could hear and understand what he said, but maybe that's because I was actually THERE.
To say that NIN's performance was anything but groundbreaking is a waste of keystrokes. The only people who had an issue with the "Lull" in NIN's set aren't his fan's anymore anyway, so it doesn't really matter what they think.("No it doesn't really matter anymore"). His fan's know that being able to see the ambient instrumental LULL that was "Ghosts" is a gift to be treasured, and the eye candy alone kept you fascinated, even if the unique string and sound arraingement didn't.
At least you were willing to give some of the act's the proper credit for their performance (STP was amazing), but this read's to me as bias towards the hip hop performances, who honestly, have started to become a real drag @ the show (Wu-Tang did the same thing as Lil Wayne last year, causing every artist that was to play that stage after them to lose set time, just so we could listen to chant's of "Cooking up Coke to Crack".) Oh, and it's a little tired and uninspiring listening to Lil Wayne boast that he's only "here for the money".
Somethnig tell's me he wouldn't feel that way if he were playing a Hip Hop festival, so he could've/should've stayed home. Sure, honesty has it's merit, but so does the phrase "A time and a place".
I'm merely expressing my opinion on the act's that I personally saw and just have a hard time respecting some of the coverage you gave them.
And for the record, I'm a white male, 33, that's been listening to hip hop since Steady B & Schooly D's day's, so i have no bias against the artform, I'm just tiring of the artist's and their ego's that are twice the size of their ability. Thank You for allowing me to present my view.

Iggy Pop & The Stooges were definitely a highlight of the show! They started off slowly, but caught fire with TV Eye, and then finished strong with Search & Destroy!!! Iggy had a tough time with the security goons, but would not let that get in the way of a good time.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
