Boxing legend Ali traces roots to Irish town

This is beautiful regarding his heritage. It would be great if the genealogist could help trace his African Ancestry back to his families origins in Africa as well. What was his Abe Grady's freed slave wife's name? I know this story focuses on the Irish heritage, but why neglect mentioning the great-grandmother's name? The name of the daughter (Odessa Lee Grady Clay)of the Irish kinsman and his freed slave wife was mentioned ...

Besides Alex Haley, author of "Roots", it's been so hard for Americans, born of African descent to trace their roots back to Africa. Mainly becaue of what just happened hear in this story. When you look back at 1800 census data, the names of slaves weren't listed? Just the plantation owners name, name of his wife and children, but no slave names, just how many slaves or how many slave children were owned by the Slave Masters/Plantation Owners :-(

For awhile, I thought the black community was holding on to this rediculous belief that they descended from the Pharoahs! I know many a home has been decorated in Egyptian themes over this one!! Too funny.
