I cannot believe that in an article highlighting female vocalists performing on the Monterey Peninisula you completely neglected to mention Jill (Childers) Cooper of Cheeky Spanks. Jill is performing in Carmel Valley (I believe) on Saturday night for the first time in several months after recuparating from surgery.
Jill has been a standout performer in the Monterey Peninsula music scene since the late 70s; she richly deserves prominent mention and a warm welcome on her return to the stage!
