Allthough "the game" was a semi popular song i wouldnt say that song made Motorhead who they are let alone that wrestling had anything to do with their success. Motorhead was around long before they ever cut that song and if any song created their success it was "ace of spades" Motorhead are legends of metal but they were never mainstream, alot of bands credit motorhead as influnces, they are really more rock and roll to me but i understand there roll in metal history. If your under 30 you may not get them though.

Motorhead is up-tempo blues-based rock and roll, not Metal. The thing that impresses me most about them is that they are who/what they are and they never changed to suit the fad of the day. Lemmy sums it up by what he has said before gigs: "We are Motorhead and we play rock and roll" |
