1 They said "you don't gotta go home but cha cant stay eeere." and as the angry crown spilled its way into the parking lot, Def grabbed the loot and the grass and bounced like a super ball back down, down down. |

1 You mean POP HOP (Rap of today) |
||||
|
And who says People Productions isn't greedy...probably got their share. Nice management of the show.

Kind of remind me of a traveling snake oil salesman from the Old West.Did everybody at least get a bottle of opium for their money?

Bruno ruined the quality of life in southern humboldt with Reggae on the river and now she wants to ruin Eureka.
Seems like the reporter is in Carols back pocket way to go TS |

Mos Def, A- List. LOL. If he's an A list artist, you need to get out of town more. |
||||
Not all rap is crap. A lot of the older stuff is good. This new stuff thats all yo yo yo, look at my rims, im so rich, yeah it is crap. Rap has been commercialized too much these days. |

hype hype hype all hype it so sad for the music scene to see promoters trade our dollars for shows that have no artistic or music value.. When hype hop comes to town you can expect the artists to wait till the last minute to come on stage, so late they are always just getting the sound right when the lights are on and everyone including the artists are kicked out. If a club/promoter has to unplug the artist sound every time it starts it says something about the club/promoters...like we are not aware,dont care and should work to get show started earlier da, a guy and a dj cant woo a crowd for very long so they drag it out till the last minute nothing new here. To the fans u should be smarter and expect something more than crappy djs and a mc for your money buy the cd and go see a real music show not some hype you heard on the radio.

i don't know why so many people have posted comments that have nothing to do with what went down at the actual show. if you hate rap/hip hop then don't bother posting a comment about a rap show. i was there and thought that everyone should get their money back because mos was so late. i don't know why he was so late and it would help if people productions had some sort of explaination for the crowd other than "city folks have a hard time with humboldt county roads." looks like bad management to charge for a show and then not be able to gaurantee that the performer is going to show up. when i saw talib kweli perform at nocturnum a little while back, he did great 2 hour set, so its not all hip hop shows...it was just this badly managed one.

I heard he was so late because he was busy "partying" at the people productions sohum house.
They should refund everyone's money. |
||||
|
He did all the free cocaine he could do at the party. I was afraid he was going to have a stroke that night.

Another rip-off show from the People Productions. I remember when they suckered people into buying VIP laminates for a Stephen Marley show. They said they were signed by Stephen Marley. It turned out they were signed but not by SM but by one of Carol Bruno's employees Jeanne Foster. What a scam. They were selling these for $25 bucks a pop. They must have sold at least a 100. Beware the PP scams.

||||
Telecommunication Act syndrome: Why tupac REALLY got killed (because Tupac refused to sell out to mainstream corporate America) and the destruction of HIP HOP which turn to materialistic POP HOP. |
