As a small engine enthusiast, the price of gas affects me greatly. What amazes me is the howling on both sides of 'what the POTUS can do about gas prices'.
Releasing the oil reserves? What kind of BS pablum is that? This country is on the upswing of an oil boom second to none, with incalculable riches to be had for those that control it..
Were we all sleeping during Nixon-Carter-Reagan-Bush-Clint on-Bush? We have let the energy companies set energy policy just as we let financial companies set fiscal policy. Gas prices are, have been, and will always be,'What the market will bear'. We will NEVER again see gas below $3gal whether you vote for the Bamster, Rmoney or Santa Claus. To believe otherwise is willful ignorance.

The Oil Reserves are here for our defense and national emergencies.

Gas here outside Chicago is $4.18/gallon.

China made it very clear to obama that, that Canadian oil was theirs and there would be no need for a pipeline. And if obama didn't comply,China would start dumping the U.S. Treasury Bonds that they own, which if they did, it would cause the U.S. Dollar to plunge.
