You don't seem to understand that it is not federal land in any fashion. It is private land. Even if the oil companies buy the land, it is still private land. Federal permits are required for federal land leases.

Any land. That oil is being drilled from. That supplies America is mostly owned by big oil companies. Mom and Pop private land to drill oil is pretty much non existent. That is the point. If you are an oil Barron without BP, Sonoco, etc., then you are soon gobbled up by the bigger fish, which has happened to most.

I'll type this really slow so you can try and understand: If you own 10000 acres of land that has been in your family since 1875, and you sell it to BP, that land becomes BP's private property.

Exploration approved under Bush Sweetie and now bearing fruit. It isn't on Federal lands, private sector. Obama has drastically reduced exploration on Federal lands through his lease stalling tactics.
Obama has stopped the pipeline from Canada to our refiniers catering to like-minded environmentalists who want to curtail oil exploration period.
Obama promised prior to the election to drastically increase our energy costs, and bring coal mining to it's knees. He is doing just that in West Virginia. We are a nation who depend on coal to run much of our energy sources which heats our homes and business and provides electricity. Obama and his Secretary Chu and EPA shill Jackson are intent on increasing energy costs so high that his "green energy" wet dreams are welcomes by the American people.

Once again, much of the drillings are on leases signed by Bush. Obama is standing in the way of new leases, stalling tactics to cater to the Left environmentalists. He shares those same views.
He's halted the shale oil pipeline from Canada to our refiners.
Obama wants us to be subsurvient to OPEC oil, and for the costs to spiril upwards so that we accept his green energy.
As to Jackson and the EPA regulations which Obama has chosen to legislate through regulation and by-pass the Congress. Obama could not get his agenda through Congress because of losing a majority in the House. The EPA is placing additional emission requirements on Coal mining companies which is redusing the industry rolls, and folks are losing well paying jobs. Yes Obama and his cohorts are hostile to established American energy. His goal is to take America down a few pegs. In his mind America is not exceptional, no more so than any European country. He wants America to be at the very least a Socialist country the likes of Sweden....maybe worst. I don't want to find out. Vote Obama out November 2012!!
