Plenty of people who are not Christian have read or studied the Bible.

Glad you liked the movie but disappointed that you didn't like Heston. He was actually a very nice man.

You're correct that some churches misinterpret the Bible and condone things the Bible does not.

Here are a few passages in the New Testament that speak about immorality:
I Corinthians 6:13 The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

Ephesians 5:3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people

1 Thessalonians 4:3 It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality.

Christians are to obey these rules.

Sex Ed is not mentioned.
