Or again, it's the "pecking order" that matters.
People have their preferences and fighting someone else's battles isn't one of them. In all reality, many cultural changes will have to take place before full civil acceptance of lifestyle choices can occur. * All minority groups must have the legal clout to take care of protecting their fundamental rights. Sadly, this is mostly a financial protection as our legal system still is driven by a lot of greased wheels. * All civil rights enforcement must reach a point where it is being protected equally. Social engineering must be replaced with true Constitutional law and enforcement. * It is undoubtedly a multi-generational process to get minority factions to adapt to working within the legal system. They are not used to doing so. The majority is not used to protecting the rights of others. To some degree, the majority should not have to be absorbed in the task of hunting down crimes of discrimination. The apparatus should be in place and fully functional. Now, we all know that our legal system is a piece of trash right now. Our legal system is defined by its loopholes and deliberate neglect to enforce laws. Workers rights are going down the sewer and our working class stubbornly does not care because they see it as being better than the socialist redistribution of wealth that they see in the Democrat party. The Gay community is living in the sixties. The current situation is not the same thing. First, our country is in a state of hyper-law enforcement where a full 0.7 percent of our population is currently incarcerated and as much as 3.1 percent on probation/parole. This is radically high for a progressive nation. Second, the economy is fractured, probably due to the effects of globalization. This means that the masses are not engaged in protecting their rights because they have no time or disposable income. For the gay community to be cutting the fine line between civil unions and marriage at this time, and to be supported as much as they are, highly suggests that there is another agenda. Now is not the time for liberals to be playing a political chess game. Now is not the time to be demanding rights without offering protections. For the ACLU to be putting their efforts into Gay and Illegal Alien efforts, while ignoring the reality that our huge prison population is highly represented by the Black population in America, shows that they don't really care about those who can't afford their own lawyers. This is about protecting someone else, someone who does not wish to be in the public eye. This is our Big Brother world that you don't WISH to see. Is it the Mass Media? Is it the data collecting tech sector? Is it the Medical sector? Or is it all of the above, through the government and therefore through them, a hidden aristocracy? There's bigger fish to fry. If anything, gay marriage activists are an enemy to the people at this point in time. If you want common cause, I suggest you seek common cause. Stop trying to climb the pecking order ladder by stepping on others. Stop trying to litigate free speech. There are many online sites that are terrified of allowing people like me to post anything contrary to gay rights reform. They don't mind letting a bunch of hayseeds post juvenile mean-spirited trash but they really don't like logic combined with important questions. You won't ever see me posting mean stuff. You WILL see me posting inquiries that may link homosexual lifestyle choices to pedophilia. You may see me wish to restrict jobs for homosexuals that they may not be suited to, such as enlistment in the military. This is based on the human condition and the possibility that homosexuality is a mental disorder, one that may be due to a number of conditions, but if some of those conditions include an obsessive/compulsive problem, then I fully endorse restricting jobs where lives may be at stake. The military is NOT a jobs program. |

Lots of pontification there. Lots of assertions that fly in the face of expert testimonies to the contrary. Lots of insinuations.
Calumny. |
And one arcane word that isn't any kind of rebuttal. That's not going to convince anyone of anything. But I guess you're going to stick with your strategy of knocking down your own paper targets and declaring victory. Sure, I have opinions. That doesn't make them insinuations any more than someone else's opinions make them expert testimonies. I keep my opinions in their proper context. Do you? |

"Arcane" ? Which one? On TOPIX boards, I restrict myself to the SAT vocab list. Sure, it isn't the 3rd grade list of the news media, but ... |
Well, sorry but I scored in the 99th percentile in both English and Math.(Admittedly, that was in the pure multiple choice days) I still had to look up "calumny". Good god! You didn't even use it right! Who did I attack? Gays? The Democratic Party? They don't have a collective reputation to defend. They are both a proverbial herd of cats. |

Obama said he supports, but stopped short of saying he will do anything to bring about gay marriage.
But even so, he left room for hope for these unnatural, abnormal relationships, and with Romney they know there is absolutely no hope. |

A javelina although similar to, is not actually a pig or a hog. And I'm a strict vegetarian for religious reasons. |
|
I somehow doubt that any free range animals in Arizona are very tasty.
It kind of makes me think about www.kittybeef.com though. I wonder what they think about herding cats. Anyway, they probably wouldn't have much luck with Smilodons but they'd probably have a lot meat on their shoulders. (Just kidding. My cats are members of the family, not dinner!) |
|
Well, that figures. Only the Church would use words like that. I guess they miss being able to hit people over the head with Latin. |

Most definitely a member of the porcine species. They interbreed just fine with all breeds of wild and domestic pigs. The wild boar of California is a cross between the Javelina and the Russian Ridgeback. 400-500 lbs is common. Not indigenous and very destructive ... luau. |

"Calumny" is a legal term, and has found extensive usage in the Courts and Legislatures of our Nation. Very elegant term that covers much of the behavior here very well indeed, as you did by assigning a denigrating motivation to the RCC in the absence of any personal, true evidence to the assertion. Calumnous. |

Some well-butchered hog would be a major financial assist to the poor in your area. "Love is when you fry the other person's bacon, even if you're a vegetarian." - Harlan Brown "The Front Runner" 1974 Patricia Nell Warren http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Front_Runner |

I'm a strict vegetarian for religious reasons. I will not kill an animal. I have a handicapped animal I care for as well as other animals I take care of too. |
OK. Since we are into single-word labeling rather than lucid points. Paranoid. |
