Le Jimbo wrote: <quoted text>By a 62% to 30% margin, voters believe policies that encourage economic growth are more important than policies to ensure economic fairness. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows Mitt Romney attracting 46% of the vote, while President Obama earns support from 44%. Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) more are undecided. 69% of the undecided have a negative opinion of President Obama. Voters strongly believe that it’s important for the government to create an environment that encourages economic growth and ensures economic fairness, but growth is seen as the higher priority. Most believe Romney champions growth, while Obama is more focused on fairness. Half (49%) believe government anti-poverty programs actually increase the level of poverty in this country. Most think there are too many people on welfare who should not be getting it and believe overwhelmingly that those who do receive welfare benefits should be required to work. Allowing the wealthy to run roughshod over the rest of us tends to leave the rest of us behind when it comes to creation of jobs that allow us to spend enough on products made by the companies that have the potential to create jobs. Economic facts are also not subject to opinion polls. Historically, Republican administrations have tended to lag behind the Democrats in job creation over the last 50 years. I am not questioning that too many able bodied people who are able to work receive it, but economic fairness does not begin and end with welfare issues, and don't forget that subsidies are also given to businesses.

If you think Chavez is an upgrade over Obama being far more left leaning than Barack, you are clueless beyond imagination. Yes, Obama is too liberal to me along with those neo-cons disguised as conservatives such as Romney and papa and baby Bush.

WHAT.......are you smoking. Reagan gave us years of positive jobs, Bush 41 months of steady jobs growth.....Obama, Carter and Clinton did little, and Obama has actually set a record in negative net job growth proving once again that socialist/marxist tax and spend doesn't work.

Maybe it escaped your notice, but Obamacare would still be administered by private companies under federal regulations and not directly by the government. Obama has definite socialist leanings, but he is far from being as socialistic as Chavez. Obama realizes that free enterprise is still more efficient and productive than government ownership of all commerce. In spite of my post, I do not plan to vote for Obama or Romney either as both of them are jokers. ‘You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright. But we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you; we’ll so weaken your economy until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands.’” -Soviet Leader Nikita Khrushchev, 1959

Hwe also created more national debt than the thirty nine previous presidents combined. He and GHW Bush between them quadrupled the national debt. Reagan also experienced a significant loss of jobs and unprecedented level of business failure in his early years as president and Bush lost his bid for reelection because of higher unemployment rates. You mentioned 41 months of job growth in the twelve years of Reagan and Bush. What happened to the other 103 months? When Reagan took office, the unemplyment rate was starting to decline and he turned a fledgling recovery into double dip recession. Obama took over while the economy was in a state of freefall compliments of his predecessor.

The last I checked, the Soviet Union no longer exists. Just for the record, I am against government ownership of industry. perivate ownership is nearly always more profitable than government control. Yes, we do need a certain amount of government oversight to prevent chaos, but as to what is the right amount, that is for another debate.

Who said.... Well Joe, we're gonna spread the wealth around I think at some point, youve made enough money. Well, you can open a coalmine, but we're gonna bankrupt it. If you own a business, you didn't build that, somebody else made that happen.
And people laugh at Joe Biden's gaffes.
How can the pres of the US say this kind of stuff and not be considered a socialist?

How can the pres of the US say this kind of stuff and not be considered a socialist? BHO the Kenyan usurper can say and do just about anything because of the dismal education standards of the USA. Stupidity is rampant and just one example of mass stupidity is the OWS movement which is little more than a bowel movement of their brains. BHO should NEVER have been elected in the first place and further more his 'election' was rigged as will the upcoming election!
