So what? It doesn't downgrade her credibility at all. If you want to see a downgrade look what obama has done to America's credibility...despicable.

Yes we need real respectable conservative and libertarian cable channels that will lead the ratings every day. Fox is your whipping boy and probably deserves it to a point. that is why we need real channels for people with real beliefs. And may gaia the living earth bless you.

She could have God, the witches, Santa Claus, Mother Teresa, etc. on her team and she would still have no chance of winning. Bachmann is clueless and unelectable.

In a more practical sense, I think Bachmann needs better and more informed speechwriters and should be careful to double check the historical information they slip into her speeches. I'm inclined to believe that she has people working against her within the ranks, not for her. I can't help but recall the manner in which the McCain campaign undermined and labeled Sara Palin as ditsy, tottering and virtually brain dead.
I'm sure that we can all agree that politics is a dirty business and honor, integrity and altruism are easily trumped by self-interest, personal gain and arbitrary betrayal. Although I personally like Congresswoman Bachmann, I don't think this is the right election cycle for her to attempt to achieve the presidency. She was snubbed by Boehner in his choices for leadership roles and no doubt has internal party operatives working against her candidacy.
I am not so naive as to believe that either party has the best interests of the country at heart; it's all about winning and power and the leadership would make deals with the devil if they thought it would advance their own questionable ideologies.
I have read many of your posts and wish that I could actually believe in the candidates either party foists upon us. At this stage in my life, I see them as an endless parade of charletons foisted upon Americans election cycle after election cycle. Regardless of party, their greatest achievement is in misleading enough people to vote for them to put them in office. Everything after that is downhill, more of the same and excuses and blame for their ineffective and lackluster performance.

She is a clownish buffoon who could do better with a 4th grade teacher on her team. Maybe someone who has read more than one book in their life. If she gets the nod she would virtually assure an Obama win.

If she gets the nod she would virtually assure an Obama win. • Obama's Ratings Hit All-Time Low A new poll finds that 54 percent of people think the president faces a longer-term setback from which he's unlikely to recover. Hoffa:'President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let's take these son of bitches out '... Will Obama condemn? No his words are just words………………….no substance. WH: No Comment...Oh my, such civility………..the empty suit hides again. Biden at AFL-CIO Rally:'You Are Only Folks Keeping Barbarians From Gates'...SAUL ALINSKY would be proud as liberals including the President and Vice President continue his thirteen rules for radicals US on wrong track say 75%-- of Californians! Oh MY………..has the boat developed a leak? Redford disappointed:'I'm beginning to wonder just where the man stands'... he can’t stand for anything, he has no legs under him. Obama ratings sink to new lows as hope fades, 60% disapprove………….

Saul Alinsky # 13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'... "...any target can always say,'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When your 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the 'others' come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target...' "One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other." (pps.127-134)

I believe speechwriters (good or bad) can go so far and then it is up to the candidate to show their intelligence (or not) when it comes to interviews and debates. I believe that is why Palin and Bachmann have failed - in that they don't seem to be able to get past the "spin", the "talking points" and do not show they have a wide grasp on the important issues. It is almost like they have been programmed and there is no further "there there".
