When a great plume of fire and smoke fills the blue skies in a scene from 'Battle: Los Angeles,' moviegoers will think they're watching the city of angels burn on the big screen.
“Bye bye, Topix. ”

When I saw The Guardian, I got all giddy when local Shreveport hot spots were featured. As I've spent more time in Shreveport, that sort of pride no longer exists. When I see plumes of smoke rising from I-49, I really don't care that it was filmed here.
Just remember. The film industry can go anywhere they want. We don't have any market cornered. I think we just come in with a lowball offer. It's not terribly expensive to make movies here. In that regard, Shreveport is really no different than a 10 dollar hooker.
My two cents.

Turn around - and bend over.
Think the plumes of smoke from I-49 was "Battle: Los Angeles" - where LA is saved, and Shreveport reaps the on-location bucks.
