Officers file discrimination suit against Montebello, Police Chief Kevin McClure

Okay. The fish wrap has picked up the story. And of course they have their facts wrong and make assumptions. For example, pay attention SGVT, the shooting looser Rojas is talking about has nothing to do with the shooting on Greenwood. How could it? McClure was not the chief then and since someone died Mont PD would have nothing to do with the investigation. Think about it SGVT. You are just as bad as the four loosers suing the chief. Then you mention Cervantes! Was he arrested? Maybe you shouldd call San D PD and ask. The answer is no BTW. You see. Papers are suppose to report the news and the facts. Instead you report lies and assumptions cause you are too lazy to do the research. Of course McClure has no comment. He's being sued! Now for the allegations. Wilsey and Dragoo are both captains. The only higher rank is chief. So they have no beef for being passsed over. Rojas is a lieutenant an he has nvr been on a capt list nor have there been any captain promotions since Dragoo was promoted. Lundy is a sergeant. She has never been on a lieutenant list. The last lieutenant promoted was I believe Rojas. So my point here folks is based on these facts alone which are facts!(Except rojas being promoted last will need to find out) these four are lying fools who can't even get their story straight. Shame on them an shame on SGVT for not doing some research first. TBC I need to go feed my cats who have more since than those loosers.

I have sent the author of this story the 102 page Superior Court in pdf format and asked her to post it, as the WDN did for the last complaint filed by Police Officers against the city. Perhaps if others ask, too, she would do it.

The story is based primarily on the filing, and I don't see many of the specific points responded to by any city officials.

Like the previous lawsuit, there are extensive, specific, disturbing, and corroborated complaints made against the chief. The main difference in this suit is that, this time, the remaining MPD officers have reportedly given McClure a 100% vote of confidence, contrasting the vote of no confidence given to Weast by the same group last time.

I have to agree with most of what settle down says above about the SGVT group's lack of research. They will usually just grab any bad story about Montebello and run with it, doing the absolute least they can to corroborate or confirm. Usually, there is a phone call to principals involved an hour before press time in the late evening to get a response, and often not even that.

Several times, I have been called to corroborate stories, and I have returned their calls 15 - 30 minutes later, only to be told that it was too late to include them in the story.

Did one of the plaintiffs even take the qualifing exam??
Did Wilsey and Dragoo ever come clean about passing complaints to the DA without checking them?
Did Wilsey and Dragoo ever come clean about the more than thirty complaints made by citizens against the Athens' black shirts (goon squad).
They can't get away with "Weast made us do it".
Time to put them under oath on all these issues.

It is times like this that I miss the recently deceased Sandy. She would have probably had factual answers for most of those questions.

Also, while the Athens' goon squads acted like black shirts, the shirts were actually a very dark blue.

BTW, is Theolona one of the named, or unnamed defendants, which appear to be about 100 people. I wonder if I'm in it, too? I should skip to that section that lists the defendants.

They don't name all the defendants. So save your time. There is no evidence or corroberation to any of their claims. The only thing Sandy would add is BS. You think she had some inside scoop? She was a nut job. Dragoo and ROjas got promoted right after the last suit they claimed was worth 30 million was settled. Hmmmmm I wonder if part of their settlement was promotion? Why drop a 30 million suit? I will tell u why. Cause the last one was BS too. When dragoo, who by the way is the ring leader, doesnt get what he wants he minipuiates others to do his dirty work. Notice its Wilsey's name on the suit. That's cause dragoo has him wrappped around his finger. BTW. The city can not comment because it is a law suit. Neither can the chief. I know how California works, and the Cities in Los Angeles. Retaliation is their modus operandi. It is good that this story is being covered in the media. Otherwise, the defendants would lose everything.

The City will probably just settle the suit. They always do because they don't want the facts to come out.

There is still a big problem in this state with discrimination and retaliation. And unless there is media attention, those complaining about it will lose everything.

The Judges and Attorney's and even the Unions actually support discrimination and retaliation.
They don't want to hear about trouble makers.
They feel they should just quit.
Who do you think the Union supports?

The Union supports the majority of its members.
And what nationality are the majority of its members?

These entities get real scared when the truth comes to light in the media.

And, they don't want the people to hear about it.
So, they settle.

It's strange though, how when Michael Jackson settled, it was said it was because he was guilty.

Well, that should tell you something then, if this idea is versatile.

I'm only up to page 12, and the filing reads like a soap opera. I almost can't put it down, wanting to see what is next in the soap opera,'As Montebello Turns'. I won't say how, but Michael Jackon's death even plays a part in this spectacle.

You cannot say it is uncorroborated. Each of the four appear to be corroborating each other.

Whatever else Sandy was, she was a very intelligent person who had an encyclopedic knowledge of virtually every political, employee, and personage in Montebello. My family taught me not to speak ill of the dead. Perhaps that is not fashionable any more.

As for ChasUGC. The president and vice president of the Union are both minorities and my guess is most of the union members are also. Most cities settle simply because it is cheaper to do so than fight. That is a fact. I am sorry u were a victim. One final thought. It is clear that McClure and Wilsey/dragoo did not see eye to eye from the get go. Wilsey's ego could not allow for someone else to step in. McClure has proven to be a smart guy. After all you don't run the largest robbery Homicied unit in the country by being a dummie. So with that knowledge would McClure really do and say the things they said he did, mind you he started in april and booted those clowns in September? That's six months that all of this had to happen in. SIX MONTHS! So either McClure lost his mind after leaving LAPD or these four are lying. I'm going with lying since McClure is clearly still doing a great job. SIX MONTHS people. It is taking 42 that long just to read the lawsuit. I dont think McClure had time to offend anyone in the short period. Think about it! I think what happend is he came in and saw how bad Wilsey screwed things up and called him on it.

This just hit me. If McClure was soooooo bad. If he was saying and doing all these terrible things Why didn't any of these four report this activity till now? What city official, mayor, city council, city attorney, city manager,did they report it to? Did any of them file a complaint with the city as they are suppose to do? Keep in mind Dragoo an Wilsey have been off till September of last year accoring to an article. So McClure started in April 2011 and they were placed on leave Sept 2011. So in that six months that all this stuff allegidly happend did any of these four repport it as per policy? My guess is no. They got put on leave. Got investigate. Got told two are being fired so now they file a law suit. Why now? CAUSE IT NEVER HAPPEND! Loosers. Fire Luny and Rojas for either making stuff up or failing to report as per city policy. Either way they need to go.

Oh. I forgot. Did they report all this allegid activity as per city policy to the human resources director? They had six months to do so. What's their excuse? Looosers.

Most City Policies mandate that If you are subject to, witness, or someone reports any type of sexual harrassement or any of the other 6 protected catergories, you know race, religion, greed, politics, and so on. You must report that activity to a supervisor. Now in this case the chief's supervisor would be the city manager. However you dont just have to report it to your supervisor you can reort the harassment to any supervisor. Seems Settle Down is on to something. Why didnt these guys report this activity till now? If they say they did and nothing was done I would want to see the proof. Now we may never know but I would venture to say they only came forward after they realized they were getting fired. which in most cases means they are making stuff up to cover up.

Of course, it is just a statement, without any listing of dates or specific agencies, but the filing contends, on page 16, paragraph 104, that "Wilsey, Dragoo, and Rojan reported numerous violations of federal and state law to law enforcement entities, including the Chief of Police for Montebello."

The time frame is not exact, but it indicates in the following sentences that the three were retaliated against while still employed, which would put it in the six month period in question.

I suspect that their lawyers wouldn't have stated that unless they had some truth to it. That type of statement is too easy to verify to be made lightly.

It seems to me that you are drawing conclusions without knowing those facts.

The proper steps are filing a grievance per city policy.
Of course, almost all the time, management will just deny the grievance. This is how Los Angeles Management works:

The first option is "Lie and Deny"
The second option is "Blame and Retaliate"

This is what leads to lawsuits.Then, when the people involved have lawyers, Management has to settle.

Instead, of talking to both parties and coming up with improvement and early solutions to keep everyone employed and creating a better work place environment. This is the only true solution to keeping a diverse work place.

But, power and egos override what the laws says. The law says that management must try to work to create a harassment and discrimination free work environment.

But, they don't do it. They just lie and deny. Or, there is always the second option if that doesn't work.

The President of this Country is African-American. Does that really change anything? NO.

The Republicans and Houses veto his every move and blame him for all the problems. He becomes a great scapegoat, and a useless figure-head.

There are many minorities in the Legislature Branch of California Government. But, can they make sure the laws are being followed?
NO.

They are useless figure heads too.
Why? It is because of separation of powers.

So, the judges do what they want, and the lawyers are afraid of them, and these Judges have "Judicial Immunity"

So, although we have laws, the Judges ignore them, the city lawyers use "loop holes" or lie to avoid them, and unless you spread your life and case all over the media, you lose your livelihood fighting big money corruption in the government.

The saying goes, "You can't win against City Hall"

There is truth to this saying, and many people know it to be true. The City has millions of dollars at their disposal. Money is Power, and power corrupts.

In most of these types of cases, especially before judges, the truth doesn't even matter.

All that matters is who you want to believe.
Do you want to believe the City, or these accusers calling the system unlawful and corrupt?

Most Judges will accept and say anything, no matter how untruthful or unlawful, and even lie themselves(Believe me,I have the evidence), just to keep their livelihood and this system secure.

And, who suffers? We the people.

And it keeps all of us in the blind to it, unless it is spread all over the media. Then, the City will settle, not necessarily to save money, as they would have us believe, but to keep us blind.

This explains why we have so many homeless people. So, we aren't necessarily blind, but they say those people are just lazy and don't want to work. Yeah, right.

The problem therein is because big money, makes contributions to government officials, to pay them off so that they can keep hiring illegal workers at low salaries instead of citizens. Thereby, bypassing our laws.

How does settling save the City money?
They have dozens of Attorney's on the payroll.
They are going to pay them regardless.

They settle to keep us blind, and ignorant to what is really going on.

It called keeping the Status Quo.
The rich get richer and the poor stay poorer.
