Gov Strickland does not possess the leadership qualities to lead this great State of Ohio. He needs to retire.

1 And tax increases are the worst thing we could do. If the issue is job, and it is main issue in are great state. How is it if we take more money away from buisness going to help them add more jobs? That makes no sense!! If rais taxes to a higher rate, how does that make it easer to attract more buisness (more jobs) to are state. Hey Coke you are looking for a state to build a new bottling Plant. That great!! come check out Ohio, And great news we just raised are tax rate!! Coke adds up what the new tax rate would cost. And determine that the new tax rate would cost them an additional $4 milion year. Hmmmm What will they do? Cut taxes cut spending. And not just token feel good spending cuts!! Look at the liberal states like California and New York and see the mess they are in. Its just crazy!! Then look at the conservative states like Texas. They do not have near the problems. There is a reason for it. Tax and spend does not work. Im sick of the great state of Ohio being turned into a wastland of closed plants. Lost jobs and broken hearts. There are ways to help the problem and there are ways to make it worse. Please!! just think about the tax and spend policy that has been tried and faild many times. Does it even make sense. How would higher ever make jobs. It will cost jobs!! |

Great idea. Bring Voinovich back. Without the fantasy Internet bubble economy we could really see how he performs.
And just for kicks perhaps he could bring back his old investment staff from the BWC. |

"Without that funding, how will schools remain open and indigent children get help? A leader would have answers."
-What disingenous blather. Even liberals should feel like their intelligence has been insulted by this article. What part of "gradually" does the author not understand with regard to eliminating the state income tax? And he knows full well that Mr. Kasich isn't going to devise a budget plan that forces "indigent children" to fend for themselves. |

Right-o, bring back the person who invented pay-to-play at the capital. Poor Bob Taft is still wondering what he did wrong ... he just followed the script created by the now senile GeorgeV.

Joe, you lost me after paragraph 5. No doubt we need ADULTS in positions of leadership. But why aren't the pols suggesting the major budget CUTS that would solve many problems for years to come. This State needs to utilize revenues for maintaining BASIC services like roads and not giving money to whomever asks for it. Now that would be serious leadership but not likely to happen with gutless pols of both parties.

Well Joe, You have finally said something that makes sense. Voinovich would make an excellent governor.

It's about time the media started exposing Strickland for what he is. His only goal is to please those who donate to his campaign and to avoid hard decisions that won't get him re-elected. Anyone notice how every industry he has touched in this state has left or become a mess? Remember his energy bill? Did you see your bills go down or up? hmmmm?

1 The last governor in this state that had the ability to look to the future was Jim Rhodes. He recruited Honda, built colleges and spearheaded the building of the best state highway system in the country. Every governor since Jim Rhodes should be thankful to that man. Otherwise, it would be a lot worse here than we can imagine. |

John Malcovich will be replaced.

No conservative would vote for Voinovich in a Primary. Period !

I love it how when RINO's abandon their principles, they are "bipartisian". Of course, the writer of this article would never vote for Voinovich in a million years, but he is a the right kind of Republican to him - the kind you can kick around.
I stopped voting for Voinovich when he supported the tax increases. |

George didn'd do much for this state except to get coal areas in the state to vote for him,
