Being Melissa Etheridge

Her performance was outstanding. She's a big-hearted, larger-than-life dynamo. I love her music and her voice. My husband and I are both fans.

Anyone who can stare down cancer in the eye and say "you aren't going to take me down" is number 1 in my book.

I lost a sister to pancreatic cancer, she was one of Melissa's greatest fans.

Even with a cold last night she rocked the house.

I think she is an awful person. It is sad that she had cancer but I have to say, promoting the lesbian lifestyle is just awful. What an obscene and gross person. I am glad my grandkids are too young to have even heard of her and her awful message.

I think she's very talented. We went to her first concert in Lowell and she's a great performer but I have to agree with Proud Grandma, too many lesbian comments between songs. My son warned us that we might be uncomfortable with the people her show will draw. It was different but we focused on the music. We still ended up leaving a little early though. Four young women getting intimate with each other were sitting in front of us and the gay comments on top of it got my wife to suggest that we leave. We did.

No one told you she was gay before you went? Maybe you should check that out before you go out again, ya know, make sure the waitress at the restuarant isnt gay, the gas station attendant isnt gay, the grocery clerk isnt gay...... I think her message was about cancer, not lesbian lifestyles, pay attention next time.

I have to disagree. When I was in the audience I didn't feel the same. I like Willie Nelson too and saw him at the Auditorium. No one was rubbing the thigh of a same sex friend in front of us. No young women were cleaning their girfriend's ears with their tounge. There was one guy that was drunk, he was removed from his seat because he was extremely loud and obnoxious. They didn't toss him out but he had to sit next to a cop.

Willie = good time.

I would like to know why you find it necessary to let everyone know your teaching our children when you post to a thread that deals with alternative sexuality. Is it a in your face kind of thing?

You are correct. No one should really cares about someone's sexual preference so why does Ethridge have to keep reminding us about hers. She whould just sing her songs and spare us the details about her private life

Okay then Kathy, don't go to the mall, the bank, they gym, etc.. Just leave the kiddies in the house so they are "safe" from "those" gays!! God knows you don't want your kiddies to catch "gay."
