Full story: CNN

Sure, the White House slipped from former Vice President Al Gore's grasp, but how many politicians end up on stage at Oscar night? "An Inconvenient Truth," which turned Gore's lectures on the threat of global ...

Please don't use the word "fat" - it is politically incorrect. Use "obesely challenged". There are scientific facts that Mars polar caps have melted at the same rates as earth's! And it is due to increased sun energy activity! Ask al bore why the mars polar caps have melted like the earth's - he won't have an answer. he has lied and misled again. global warming is a fact - it just is not caused by us. It is a natural occurring event. gore is nothing more than a scammer making money off the weak-minded.

Al Gore actually answered the question "What caused past Ice Ages?" by saying that Fred Flinstone did it because he was driving a Hummer. True story.

I made a fearless prediction several months ago that AlGore would be the Democrat nominee for President:

He's the only Dem condidate with Executive experience (Vice President).

Best enviro-wacko credentials

Oscar-winning documentary author

[Soon to be] Nobel Peace Prize winner

Successful entrpreneur (Current TV)

Computer Tycoon (Apple director)

Internet mover and shaker (Google)

Filthy rich (Google stock)

Leading vote getter for President (2000)

In short, AlGore has got the most dazzling resume for President of any Democrat wannabe.

Obama is not ready for prime time.

John Edwards is just a shallow, superficial hairball with one memorized speech.

Hillary Clinton is -- well -- Hillary: unlikable, mean, strident, crooked, along with NO executive experience other than baking cookies in the White House.

Al Gore is the man! At the appropriate moment, when voters are bored with Hillary, Al Gore will step forward and allow himself to be drafted for the Democrat nomination.

Agree or disagree?

Al Gore is the Inconvenient Truth. 75% of Anthropogenic sources, the rest is David Suzuki blabbing away.

Scientificaly, we are not responsible for much.
With $100 thousand we have lowered global mean temperature by about 0.000000001°C.
So, with $100 trillion we could theoretically lower global mean temperature by about 1°C.

Oh my god. If he wins the nobel peace prize, I will lose all faith in humanity. That will become the new definition of "travesty".

don't worry, he will be in good company. Mostly it is only terrorists who get the Peace Prize, but a loony helps make up the mix.

Al Gore - like him or not - but he did manage to bring some very touchy issues to the table.
All countries are responsible for the global warming effect - not just US - but, especially the US are responsible.
Why is that?
Besides the fact that US uses 25% of world energy then the US have abundant resources to change that within a few years.
How?
Instead of squandering 800 billion USD on a silly invasion in Iraq (whereever that is)- then if those 800 billion USD were spent on windpower and nuclear energy - then not only could US become the leading country in global warming - but would also cut in half the trade deficit...
But, I guess there are not so many votes in that :-)

Pssssst. Thomas:

The reason there's an invasion of Iraq (it's north of Antarctica) is because the CIA discovered that Sadam Hussein had a secret biological warfare lab that was making deadly viruses that killed Prius's and windmills.

The invasion was necessary to stop global warming.

He's wisely skirted the subject. He's said that private ownership is good for the environment, and the free market will fix a lot of problems.

well you have to respect the fact that he has more important fish to fry than f**king climate change, and to express reality on the subject would be political suicide at the moment.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Scorpio

You're in the mood to spend money on a favourite hobby or pastime today, so take care if you're supposed to making every penny count at the moment. The temptation to treat yourself to something that you'll undoubtedly enjoy will be too strong to resist, and the trouble is that you might not restrict yourself to just one item either. It looks like being an extravagant day!
