Madonna (the only artist from USA) and Celine Dion are mentioned in Wikipedia.org who managed to sell 200 million records or more (category 2).

Mariah Carey unfortunately, is NOT in the same list as Celine or Madonna managed to place into category 3 as an artist who sold more than 100 million records only so far!

Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston belong in the same category as Ms. Carey.

2.- Madonna's income shows her success in music, according to forbes.com in the same year (2006-2007), Madonna and Mariah both had albums out, both went on tour, and both had endorsements, but clearly Madonna is so far ahead of Mariah in every department. Madonna's income was reported at $72Mil, while Mariah's $13mil. If Mariah is more successful then Madonna, how come Ms. Carey's income does not reflect it?

3.-If you are to tally up everything Madonna, albums, singles, dvd's, video, concert receipts, movie receipts, merchandise and endorsements, clearly Madonna is in a category by herself a universe Mariah, Celine, Shania, Britney, Christina, Shakira(even though all have success) only dream about in their wildest dreams.
